For the record, I love to watch A.O play, and I think he is indisputably the best player in the world at present.

BUT, I would love to see someone clean his clock after one of his borderline hits, charges, boardings, knee on knee's... whatever.
A one punch KO would be OK even if/when he doesn't answer the bell. Just want to see a player succeed in distributing some street-law on him. Just once.

Beyond that... its always good to see the genuinely dirty players have it. Kaleta for instance. Would be sweet to someone like Lucic rag-doll and then drop him.

One thing I didn't like about 70's hockey was that there was no "third man in" rule. If you think players these days are cheap and disrespectful, you should have seen guys like Clark and Ed Van Impe play. They could get away with anything because if anyone tried to go after them, they would instantly have (literally) the whole Flyers team jumping on their back.

Avery seems to hate Hartnell enough to go with him - at least they have twice in the last two games. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Avery get the crap beaten out of him last week. Surprisingly - when Hartnell doesn't fall down he's a pretty good fighter. He had a decent fight against Godard last season - didn't get embarassed or anything.

I would really like to see Tortorella get punched in the face. He's such an arrogant little dick. His players must totally hate him.

Yeah Ovie is up on the list for me. He's borderline dirty. Has been since he broke into the league. One of these days it's going to catch up to him...someone his going to go after him and he's gonna get hurt.

Every guy in the league that acts tough when the official is there and runs like a coward when he's not. We all know them, the guy who loves to grow glove punches and act tough, but is really a coward.

Evgeni Malkin would probably top my list, but it's a very long list and Matt Cooke would have to be #2. Patrick Kaleta is another, that guy is slime.

I have a lot of respect for agitators and fighters who rack up fighting majors and back up their words. I might be alone, but I really like guys like Carcillo, Neil, Lucic, and even Avery sometimes.

He suffered many, many knee crushing impacts, and back in the 70s, Hilliard Graves, with his notorious hip checks was one the chief culprits blamed for Orr's demise. Nevertheless, had Orr begun his career in modern times, he probably would have lasted well into his 40s, as knee surgery and rehab have made quantum leaps, extending the playing life of many who have suffered similar fates or worse.

Of course, Chris Pronger never fights unless he has a 6 inch height advantage and outweights them by 30 pounds. Sort of like Derian Hatcher except Hatcher fought more.

Strange thing is that I've only started hating Pronger since last season when he elbowed Parise. I didn't mind him at all before that. I loved how he destroyed the Wings in the 2007 playoffs.
