Laperriere won that one, but he didn't own him. O'Byrne has all the tools to become a quality fighter, but this is the first year where he's the go to tough guy. He's going to be a hell of a fighter one day.

O'Byrne has a height advantage which caused Lappy problems, but I still give Lap the decsion

Yeah Laperriere won that one for sure. But he's a seasoned fighter, O'Byrne, not so much. But O'B's size made this a fair fight.

We should see more of these "let's drop our helmets" amongst middleweights.

I guess the refs kind of have to step in there - O'Byrne got jolted pretty hard in the jaw - put him on his knees and he was definitely seeing some stars. They don't want to see a guy get back up just because he doesn't want to give up - and then see that guy get hurt badly because he's vulnerable.

I'd say he's a lot more likely to be a Hal Gill than a hell of a fighter.

Easy, he's a Sens fan...if there's one thing Senators fans know it's fighters.

Laps with the win. Not one of O'Byrne's better efforts. He's a better fighter than he showed in this one.

O'Byrne has a big heart. Never affraid but not the best fighter.

O'Byrne has no chin.

Oh well, stands up for his team and is a good d-man. What more could you ask.

Unfortunately for him, with the current Habs roster, when someone has to fight more often than not it'll be him. That's not really ideal, imo.
