Question about world hockey

I was wondering if someone could help me out with this one.

I am looking for specific talents of players from around the world, as well as how different countries play the game.

For example, from what I hear, the Russian SuperLeague tends to be low-scoring, but that doesn't mean that their players can't score.

Primarily, I am looking for information from the following countries:

Russia
Czech Republic
Slovakia
Japan
Poland
Finland
Germany
France
Norway
Sweden
Switzerland

etc.

Thanks for any help in advance, all is appreciated.

Hmmm. Apparently people have viewed this, yet no one has responded.

I just need some minor specifics. Actually, anything you can provide, could be useful.

Read your post and thought about the reason why noone is answering, I just think, your question is too general. Where to begin? :)

Well, maybe you find some specific infos on these pages. Do you just understand English or further languages?

Russia - have to wait for being on my own computer again, I should have a link to an english written page, sorry for now.

CZE - I haven't found any english site on czech hockey, was searching myself in the past few weeks

..same for Slovakia, Japan, Poland, Finland and Norway.

Germany -

Try this english site www.prohockey.de

Other possibilities are www.hockeyweb.de , which is in german, but you find links to all clubs. As many of the users in the message boards can speak at least sufficient english, you might get infos there. Here's the direct link to the chapter, which lists all the links to different leagues or countries:

http://www.hockeyweb.de/?action=LINKS&Inhalt=links/links_de_bl1

Also this page, that provides the links to many message boards of several german leagues and Switzerland ans Austria might help: http://www.prax-berlin.de/Eishockeyforen.html

Sweden - most pages of course in swedish, but anyway

http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Stadium/5933/engindex.html

http://www.swehockey.se/

http://www.elithockey.com/

France -

http://www.hockeyarchives.info/ ...en francais :) but despite a little poor layout, a very good site, if you speak french

Switzerland -

well, in german, but very good infos

www.hockeyfans.ch

Hope this helps a little, maybe I can deliver you more in a few days.

..same for Slovakia, Japan, Poland, Finland and Norway.
This page is pretty good and it's updated more frequently then the official JIHL site (which is never updated) …

Well, I do understand it was in a way general, but let me try again:

I've heard that different locales around the world have a different style of play.

So, I'd be looking for information on the different countries listed.

Also, I was interested in statistical styles around the world.

e.g. Russian hockey tends to be lower scoring? Correct?

If that helps.

Anyways, thanks for everything. I will try and check those sites out.
