They said it best...live by the sword, die by the sword. Gert B Frobe 04-09-2010, 04:52 PM Gee I hope Ruutu doesn't miss too many games. I guess he was really hurt the way he laid there like a *****. Joey Moss 04-09-2010, 05:05 PM Someone had to do it. Cmox 04-09-2010, 05:07 PM Someone had to do it. seriously.. Death Taxes Conacher 04-09-2010, 05:14 PM Meszaros blocking a shot with his throat got off the ice quicker than that. Since apparently you can't wish injury on players I'll just say I hope Ruutu survives. Joey Moss 04-09-2010, 05:17 PM seriously.. Yea, seriously.. Cmox 04-09-2010, 05:26 PM Yea, seriously.. I was agreeing with you. :) Joey Moss 04-09-2010, 05:28 PM I was agreeing with you. :) I was agreeing with myself. :sarcasm: The Brewmeister 04-09-2010, 05:33 PM out of anybody, the only other person i'd be glad to see this happen to is Avery. But Ruutu is just as satisfying :) Laus723 04-09-2010, 05:42 PM So what? They said it best...live by the sword, die by the sword. Yeppers. WeezyHabFan 04-09-2010, 05:47 PM Poor guy :( Timmer44 04-09-2010, 05:57 PM That was pretty predatory. Fedoruk chased him all over the ice. Ruutu has gotta get up though. The Expert 04-09-2010, 05:57 PM Not like Fedoruk could fight him, he's break his face again. *bailing after Carkner lands 1 punch isn't a fight. Don't worry evryone, Ruutu is fine, just doing his job. Drew 4 minutes of PP, not too shabby. The Brewmeister 04-09-2010, 06:23 PM Don't worry evryone, Ruutu is fine, just doing his job. Drew 4 minutes of PP, not too shabby. Fedoruk did it cuz Ruutu jumped into a player (Konopka?) in the far end. Fedoruk did his job, Ruutu did his too. Still All In 04-09-2010, 06:50 PM Meszaros blocking a shot with his throat got off the ice quicker than that. That should tell you something. All I can say is.... oops! I enjoying seeing this right in front of our seats. Epoch 04-09-2010, 08:42 PM It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Hale The Villain 04-09-2010, 08:52 PM Laying on the ice after being suckerpunched? What a diver  It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. He's actually quite the sweetheart off the ice :sarcasm: swiftwin 04-09-2010, 09:19 PM ruutu <3 Juzmo 04-13-2010, 05:49 AM Oh noes! Not the good one! c-carp 04-13-2010, 04:28 PM So what? They said it best...live by the sword, die by the sword.I go with that Ruutu had this coming the way that he plays. RememberRoger* 04-13-2010, 05:58 PM it was a good week for cheapshotting pukes getting their comeuppance. Manny* 04-13-2010, 06:25 PM Obviously, it's not surprising that Ruutu ate a punch in that situation. He deserved it. I don't even think we scored on the double powerplay. Tampa announcers are such homers. Death Taxes Conacher 04-13-2010, 07:41 PM Obviously, it's not surprising that Ruutu ate a punch in that situation. He deserved it. I don't even think we scored on the double powerplay. Tampa announcers are such homers. Shocking that two people employed by the Tampa Bay Lightning for Tampa Bay Lightning fans would be biased towards the Tampa Bay Lightning. oldtimerhockey 05-09-2010, 06:46 PM Looks good on Ruutu Nekz 05-10-2010, 09:30 AM "Watch in HD" Yes, please :D Although that was a pretty ridiculous cheap shot. dinqly 05-17-2010, 03:00 PM ouch, that had to hurt ChadS 05-17-2010, 03:33 PM I love it how some people can't stand Ruutu :D And he's actually an extremely cool and calm guy off the ice, a definate team player. And REALLY smart. Go Jake! Plante 05-17-2010, 04:08 PM Shocking that two people employed by the Tampa Bay Lightning for Tampa Bay Lightning fans would be biased towards the Tampa Bay Lightning. Appalling. :sarcasm: Pizza 05-24-2010, 11:31 PM I love it how some people can't stand Ruutu :D And he's actually an extremely cool and calm guy off the ice, a definate team player. And REALLY smart. Go Jake! ....and an absolute punk on the ice. I never wish getting hurt in anyone, but Ruutu gets me close. PhXcoyotes 05-26-2010, 07:57 PM He got punched in the face with a squishy glove..... get up. Bring_Bak_Damphousse 06-01-2010, 12:35 AM I never get tired of watching guys like Avery, Ruutu, Kaleta and Cooke get there ***** handed to them. Maelmoor 06-01-2010, 01:15 AM I love it how some people can't stand Ruutu :D And he's actually an extremely cool and calm guy off the ice, a definate team player. And REALLY smart. Go Jake! Um, so we should not judge hockey players by how they act in hockey games but rather ignore that and make an opinion of how they are off the ice? Elvstrand 06-01-2010, 12:10 PM Loved Fridge before and this certainly don't make me love him less. Hale The Villain 06-01-2010, 08:00 PM Um, so we should not judge hockey players by how they act in hockey games but rather ignore that and make an opinion of how they are off the ice? He hasn't done anything Downie, Cooke or Kaleta esque in almost a year. He was very behaved this year, yet gets **** on everytime he is talked about  QnebO 06-18-2010, 05:25 PM That tv announcer talking like ruutu is suprised that he was a target of action like that.. Did he mention somewhere, "wow im suprised, i thought that everyone loves me and im good boy like crosby". No he didint say that.. Like in the women business, you cant get, if you dont give. WasTeD 06-18-2010, 09:09 PM I love Ruutu. Defenetly one of those guys you love having on your team but hate playing against him. I wear 73 in hockey cuz of Ruutu RewBicks 06-19-2010, 05:37 AM Um, so we should not judge hockey players by how they act in hockey games but rather ignore that and make an opinion of how they are off the ice? To an extent, yes. It's important to remember that each of these guys plays a role in order to have a career. The difference between the Ruutus and Tuckers of the world and a guy like Sean Avery is that off the ice, the former are absolute class acts and intelligent to boot. Avery can't negotiate the line between what goes on on the ice and real life. I personally love the way Ruutu plays. He works extremely hard on the ice, is extremely tenacious on the forecheck, chips in with some offense from time to time, hits hard, drops the gloves when necessary (very effectively, I might add), and truly gets under the skin of his opponents. He takes a lot of lumps for his teammates. He does what he needs to do to play a regular shift in the NHL - not too many people on here who wouldn't do the same, I suspect. I know I would. | ||
