TMZ: Tito Ortiz arrested for domestic violence

TMZ has learned Tito Ortiz was just arrested for felony domestic violence at the home he shares with Jenna Jameson.

We're told when cops arrived at the couple's home in Huntington Beach, CA -- Jenna Jameson had "visible injuries."

We're told someone called 911 today at 9:53 AM and reported a "disturbance."

Tito is currently in custody and on his way to a Huntington Beach jail in Orange County, CA

Whoa, a felony that's serious. IIRC Domestic violence is a tweener, so it can be charged as either a felony or mitigated down to a misdemeanor--either one leading to an arrest.

In fairness, Tito has been dealing with a bulging disc, bum knee, sprained thumb and flareup of gout in recent days. But he still went out there, for all his fans.

In all seriousness though, I've never been a huge Tito fan and his personality generally rubs me the wrong way, but I wouldn't have expected this. He and Jameson kinda seemed made for one another, and it's pretty shocking to me that he would do this after they've had kids together to boot.

Reminds me of an interview with I believe Alice Cooper where he said he'd talked to several fellow rockers who were upset about a bad breakup with a stripper, he said, "what'd they expect, they're strippers."

I don't know, thinking about it, there are lots of reasons for him to freak out. She could've given him an STD or have cheated on him, but there is no excuse to hit a woman even if she did something messed up.

UFC honcho Dana White tells TMZ Tito Ortiz could be booted from the organization if the domestic violence charges against him prove legit.

Tito might be an unlikeable fighter, but he has to put up with a lot of stuff, this is just part of her personality and how she acts on the regular. He does a lot of things for the troops and outside of MMA is generally regarded as a good dude. I sure am not going to judge him prematurely although my initial reaction was knee-jerk.

All the pictures show is that she has a brace on her arm that she bought from a drug store and later in the day she was carrying a suitcase with an arm that was supposedly hurt.

He wouldn't be charged with felony for domestic violence if there wasn't reason to believe he was guilty of it. Now I know the classic "innocent until proven guilty" But in a situation where police are called in to deal with domestic abuse, I tend to believe that it's real.

I'm not going to read or suspect anything until someone other than TMZ is writing about it. And as others have said, it's way too early to even have a fraction of an idea of what's actually going on.

I'll tell you guys again, we're talking about JENNA JAMESON here, no way she's the good ol' loving caring victim girlfriend you guys make her out to be.

Police will err on the side of caution. Now, I'm using this purely as a hypothetical, but if they showed up and she had bruises, no matter what they were from, chances are that they'd arrest the suspect. Being wrong in those situations, and in turn deciding not to arrest the suspect, can have dire consequences. So I wouldn't use the arrest to prove anything. As I said, what's more telling is that they charged felony domestic battery.

Still, we don't know all the main details and the "story" keeps getting more and more hokey.

It's awfully convenient, I'm guessing she probably just wants her name back in the headlines, being a piece of trash that would cash in on any publicity. Sorry ladies but you lost any shred of credibility a long time ago. Tito's an unbelievable ass for associating with them but I'd still take his word over theirs any day. Just my opinion.

TMZ has learned former UFC champ Tito Ortiz and baby mama/former porn star Jenna Jameson are withdrawing allegations that led to Tito's felony domestic violence arrest earlier this week.

Jenna, who accused Tito of injuring her during an argument, now tells TMZ, "What actually happened has now been dramatically distorted and misinterpreted and remarks that both Tito and I made after the police arrived reflect the state of shock that we were both in." Translation -- he didn't hurt me.

As for Tito, we're told he's now backing off what he strongly insinuated ... that Jenna is an OxyContin addict. We're told Tito's position now is that he found two OxyContin pills and may have jumped to conclusions. Jenna says the pills were very old. And, as we first reported, Jenna tested negative for drugs this week.

Tito's lawyer, Chip Matthews, tells TMZ the whole thing was "a big misunderstanding."
