All season long the media has been eating this guy up. "what a turn around.. hes been a model citizen" and because of his bad-boy persona turned good, his coach lobbied and he won the Defensive player of the year.

Many tho' said they werent convinced... And it will be 1 time he wont be able to hold his cool and he will cost his team something important. Well Ron, Thank you... Thank you for proving people right tonight.

Artest thought he got elbowed in the groin by Rip Hamilton. Replay in hindsight clearly shows hamilton just backed up and bumped him, contact you see every time somebody goes to post up down low. Artest lost it, and elbowed\forearmed Hamilton in the face, all the while looking at the ref and aknowledging it was a good call....... Of corse the referee calls it a flagrant foul, gives Hamilton 2 shots and the pistons the ball. The possession turns into a 4 point swing, giving Detroit its first lead of the game with around 2 minutes to go....... Detroit Never looked back and went on to eliminate Indiana.

So, Ron Artest, Thank you for single handedly costing your team a victory and thier season by being a selfish uncontrollable headcase. I hope when you see the replay yourself and find out nobody hit you that hard or on purpose, you still think it was worth it.

Artest is a joke, didn't he totally elbow someone earlier this season and was suspended like 15 games or something?

I personally love Ron Artest, one of my favourite players in the NBA. But that's just me.

I love the intensity he brings to the table, and sure he's got a hot temper, but i'd rather have a guy like that, then a guy who just really doesnt give a ****

The praising of Artest for not doing dumb things is like the praising of Bob Knight for not doing dumb things (and I like Bobby Knight): it's stupid. We shouldn't be applauding people for doing what they are supposed to do. You're not supposed to spaz out on an opponent or a teammate or a coach. So the media shouldn't praise Artest for not doing something wrong. But they do, and it's stupid. And let's see him put together a few seasons of "good behavior" before we start handing him gold stars. Everyone thought Iverson had finally cleaned up his act a couple of seasons ago, and for a little while he did, but then he came crashing back to his old self, and it was apparent he never really changed. Artest is in the same situation. Just like one season of good play doesn't make one a good player, one season of being a good boy (and that is a relative term for him) doesn't make him a good citizen.

Artest didn't lose it for Indiana. Inexpierence and injuries lost it for Indiana. Having Jermaine O'Neal hurt and Jamaal Tinsley hurt is what killed us. Artest wasn't 100% either. O'Neal now can not play in the olympics because of his injury and Tinsley needs surgery.

Blaming the loss on Artest is dumb. lol he "lost it" because he elbowed Hamilton. Please dude, it's basketball of 2004, theres dirty play on almost every possesion. Not only Artest. The media has been killing the guy so i don't know where you got the part where the media has been nice about him. Artest didn't get in trouple much this season.

Anyways, enjoy losing to the Lakers.
