what do you think of this effect?

I stumbled upon this cool glowing effect...what do you guys think? do you like it or not?

I guess it would depend on how it is used, but for the most part, I cannot imagine a situation where that effect could be used effectively. Maybe on a background (i.e., the actual backdrop of an image) or something, but even then....:dunno:

In the way that's in that picture, no. If you were to create an internal glow on something with an actual skeletal structure or if you used it on a button/icon then perhaps it would work but it would have to fit the overall theme. It would look nice on say, the terminator, but not on fluffy pink bunnies.

He looks.. like an oompa loompa.

I like the glowing blue parts, but the orange skin tone is... no deal.

the blue part 'glowing effect' is just color inversion .. it's really easy to do.

The color invert is always cool to look at. Not sure about the Snooki orange skin though.
