Mats Froshaug

How is Mats Froshaug playing? Is his production good and what type of game does he play? Does he have a good chance of making the nhl and how far off is he if so?

He's never gonna play in the NHL, that's for sure.

A string of injuries has hampered his development.

Why would u say he would never make the NHL? Is it his hockey smarts and skill level or his or something else? I liked this pick in 2008 but I don't know much about him anymore

He's back playing in Norways which isn't exactly a good sign. If he doesn't come over to the AHL next season then I really think he has absolutely no chance at making the NHL. I believe he had a series of concussions that hampered his development and hasn't really developed into the player people thought he could have been. I believe he was at the Canucks camp this year so he is still on their radar.

Mats did not have concussions, he had some strange epilepsy-like disease that made him miss almost two seasons. Too bad because he was comming off a great performance in the IHWC.

Now he is playing in Lørenskog in the Norwegian league and while he has been playing preety good lately, the Norwegian league is not all that competitive. I think his only chance to reach the NHL is if the Cannucks sign him on a ELC next summer and place him in Manitoba. Maybee that could jumpstart his development once again. Its really a shame that he lost that much of his career because he has all of the tools to become a good player.
