Marc the Habs Fan 11-23-2010, 05:06 PM Pettigrew or Hernandez for the Lions/Pats game?
Start 2 WRs:
James Jones @ ATL
Mike Thomas @ NYG
Robert Meachem @ DAL
Steve Smith @ CLE
I think Pettigrew has clearly proven to be the more consistent guy recently, I'd go with him until he proves otherwise.
WR's are tough. I'd rate them Thomas, Smith, Jones, then Meachem. No problem with Jones ahead of Smith, though.
BGDDYKWL 11-23-2010, 05:28 PM Same reasoning for Pettigrew over Hernandez as last week, but it's an even larger gap now IMO. We're now looking at two straight weeks where Hernandez has played very few snaps. I don't know what happened there, but he's pretty much unstartable unless things change.
I'd actually probably rate your receivers Jones/Thomas, Smith/Meachem. Jones and Thomas are the clear 1-2 with Smith and Meachem being the clear 3-4 IMO.
Big Poppa Puck 11-24-2010, 01:38 PM Ben Obomanu vs. KC
or
Mike Thomas @ NYG
Need 1 of
Floyd @ IND
Amendola @ DEN
Pierre Garcon vs. SD(Manning is my QB)
Marc the Habs Fan 11-24-2010, 02:05 PM I would go with Mike Thomas.
Thanks for the advice guys.
Shape 11-24-2010, 02:51 PM Just grabbed Blair White off waivers, should I play him over Garcon this week vs SD? Garcon has pissed me off all year, but I just know if I bench him he'll go off.
Collie is out again, and I think SD D will focus Wayne/Tamme/Garcon, which could leave White open for a big game. I dunno though...
Also, Keiland Williams vs Min, Sidney Rice vs Was, V-Jax vs Ind? (I have Rivers)
Renegade Stylings 11-24-2010, 02:56 PM Need a 2nd QB this weekend, and none of them are great matchups:
Pick one to start:
Brett Favre vs. Washington
David Garrad vs. NY Giants
Sam Bradford vs. Denver
All games on the road. I was thinking about Garrard, but don't really know. Gamble with Favre?
Shape 11-24-2010, 03:02 PM ^Favre, purely based on the matchup. Plus a full week of practice with Rice back.
3 of these 5:
Tomlinson vs. Bengals
Goodson @ Browns
Owens @ Jets
Rice @ Redskins
Moss vs. Vikings
Right now I have Moss and Owens on the bench.
akalaM 11-24-2010, 07:48 PM Big Ben Vs. Bills
or
Brady Vs. Lions
This is so hard lol. And this is my most important game to date, if i lose im out of the playoffs, so...
Im also starting woodhead and Gronkowski(TE) in my line up, so if i start brady i really really need the pats to do well.
Bills have the worst run defense. I wouldn't doubt the Steelers go run heavy this week.
akalaM 11-24-2010, 10:15 PM I'm leaning towards Brady right now, but god knows I'll be pissed if I miss the playoffs because of this decision.
danishh 11-25-2010, 01:37 AM i've got one that is troubling this week.
Start 2:
Deshawn Jackson
Greg Jennings
Vincent Jackson
Jeremy Maclin
I manage to pick up vjax on waivers a few weeks ago, and now have a tough decision. Jennings is a must-start for me, but after that i have no clue.
MM425 11-25-2010, 03:44 AM Need a 2nd QB this weekend, and none of them are great matchups:
Pick one to start:
Brett Favre vs. Washington
David Garrad vs. NY Giants
Sam Bradford vs. Denver
All games on the road. I was thinking about Garrard, but don't really know. Gamble with Favre?
Apart from when Vick tore them apart, Washington has a pretty good defense and a good pass rush. They'll liable to force a few picks from Favre. Plus on the road and with a new coach I think they'll be conservative and give AP a ton of touches.
I'd start Bradford for the matchup... Denver's secondary has been terrible this season.
As for me... I've been hit hard by injuries to Smith and Nicks so I've had to dig a bit to fill my WR void. My choices to start one of:
Lance Moore @ Dallas
Jabar Gaffney vs. St. Louis
Ben Obamanu vs. KC

Jennings and D. Jackson.
The Bears defense has been great this season, but the one chink in their armour is that they can give up a big play every now and again. With Vick and Jackson's apparent chemestry, I'd say he's a must-play.
I need three WR's from this list:
M. Austin vs. NO
S. Holmes vs. CIN
V. Jackson at IND
T. Owens at NYJ
S. Rice at WAS
For the last 2-3 weeks it was automatic with Austin, TO, and Holmes, but with both Rice and VJax back I'm second guessing the match up's. What do you guys suggest?

stay away from TO this week vs the Jets D

Do you only have 1 QB spot or something?
akalaM 11-25-2010, 09:01 AM Hm?
Yes I can only start one QB at a time, was that your question? Isnt that the norm? lol
Oh and also, I think I'm gonna go with hernandez instead of gronkowski. Wish i had better TE options :(
Marc the Habs Fan 11-25-2010, 09:15 AM Is it the norm? We start 2 in my league...
And Gronk has been seeing far more action than Hernandez recently, but BB is wildly unpredictable...

They've been equally used last game, or...unused, should I say. Hernandez got a touchdown though.
But yea maybe if I wasnt an idiot id pick up Cooley right now.
Mister Wood 11-25-2010, 09:59 AM I managed to snag Jason Witten off waivers this week. Should I go with him vs Saints, or should I stick with Tony Gonzalez Vs. Packers?
CareyClutch 11-25-2010, 10:20 AM Hi guys, start 2 of the 3
Knowshon Moreno vs St-Louis
Fred Jackson vs Pit
Brandon Jackson @ Atlanta
Thx in advance.

those, no team has been able to run the ball against the Steelers all season, I don't see Buffalo being any different

Gonzo would be who I go with.
akala, I was basing it off the last couple of games...
Can somebody please help me decide between Roethlisberger and Vick? I'm currently leaning Vick, but it should be considered that Vick's playing the Bears, who have held quarterbacks in check all year. Roethlisberger is at the Bills, who are a doormat.
I also have DeSean Jackson, if that means anything to you.
As I said to someone else, the Bills have the league's worst run defense. Steelers might go run heavy.
PICK A D/ST:
PIT @ BUF
MIN @ WSH
WSH vs. MIN
John Cena* 11-25-2010, 03:34 PM Branch got me 25!

flip a coin ....
possibly Vick by a whisker

stay away from TO this week vs the Jets DThanks, and I was thinking the same and started Austin, Holmes, and VJax. Saints' pass defense is so good, I got lucky with Austin's long end around TD to make up for his slow day. Better than Dez Bryant and his goose egg!
BillyShoe1721 11-28-2010, 11:29 AM Steve Johnson or Vincent Jackson? Johnson's been great, but is going against the Steelers. Jackson has been great in practice according to all reports, and I can't help but think he's going to have a huge day.
Marc the Habs Fan 11-28-2010, 11:30 AM Jackson, the SD receiver core is banged up, so he should see plenty of balls thrown his way.
Shape 11-28-2010, 11:46 AM should I start B. White over Garcon?
