I dunno, it just seemed when that whole story broke about him going after the 1st Overall, it seemed weird a GM would comment about on going discussions, since they are usual kept quiet.
It would seem he's trying to spark some interest in teams down in the draft order, wanting to move up (Dallas? :dunno: ) to start trying harder, since if he was to trade for the 1st, his 1st would for sure be in the deal?
Or am I going crazy.... :help: .

Its the assistant GM Tallon who is in charge of the draft. Pulford is still trying to figure out how these "drafts" work in this crazy league ;)
Im sure we would be willing to trade our #3 to a team in positions 4-8 if we cant get the #1 or 2.

I would probably do that as well, seeing the draft after Ovechkin and Malkin is going to pretty even.
Tukhonen(sp) is a steal at a 6 or 7 spot.

Pulford is way too dumb to pull something like that off
It's just the same old smoke screen this organ-I-zation uses. They talk about it freely so when it doesn't happen they can say "we'll we really tried to get him but......". They do the same thing at free agency time. Never trust the Hawks brass their all liars.

What would you guys want from BUF for the #3?
Definitely in question would be guys like Satan, Connolly, Pyatt, Kotalik, Biron/Noronen and of course the #13 pick.
More than likely out of the question would be Vanek/Miller/Hecht/Kalinin.
Would there be any interest from your side?

Kotalik is young with speed and a scoring touch right?
