New to hockey in Ottawa? [Archive]

I'm 23, I'm a fairly decent skater and I've always followed hockey. I have ok stick handling I think and I can stop. But I only recently started playing hockey because of monetary issues (I couldn't afford to play growing up.) Are there any good places to start out in Ottawa?

Right now I have plans next week to go to a full-equipment pick-up game that the Belltown dome hosts every Thurs, Fri and Sat. I want to go twice a week, and I've been practicing every night on an outdoor rink for the last two weeks.

Look on ottawarechockey.com. There are many games, and some set aside for those with lower skill levels.
