I think Rhodes oozes charisma and should be considered among the very best mic workers the WWE has to offer in the not to distant future if he is not already.

Not to mention I think he is a tremendous in ring worker... he is sooo good.

This character transformation is eventually going to get him into the main event and win championships. He`ll be huge

i've said it before, as have many, get him some knee pads or some pants!

i didn't like him much when he first showed up, the lovable loser working his way up and winning the tag belts and yadda yadda.

i didn't like him much in legacy either

however i have liked him more and more of late and i am excited to see this new gimmick play out. i would not go so far to say he is the future, but he will definitely be one of the staples of the company the next several years.

This gimmick has great potential. I think he should be in the IC title mix for the next year or two and build credibility for the main event by great writing/booking over time.

If all else fails, he's a great person to have in the mid card and will deliver hilarious promos about his "dashing" looks.

Ehhhhh....Punk/Christian/Miz/Del Rio/and even Cena are clearly on a level above Rhodes. He's still much better than most of the other drones in the business, though.

I'd put Rhodes right on the outside of that group along with Barrett and could break in within a few months among the top mic workers. I expect 1-2 great promos from Rhodes leading up to his match at wm still.

The guy has taken acting classes I think, which puts him leaps and bounds above most.

Can't be worse than the Miz. Amazing how guys like Rhodes get little air time and it's Real World and Jersey Shore every week.

The wrestling part is alright I like a solid match especially if a guy has cool looking offense and the match flows well...

I adore the larger then life characters... promos are my favorite part of sports entertainment... listening to a good talker build a feud is pretty entertaining... or seeing a guy like Cole troll everyone is greatness:laugh:

I still can't believe people said this guy had no charisma and that Ted Jr. was better on the mic and in the ring. You could see Cody's natural charisma from his very first promo inducting his dad into the hall of fame. I knew he was going to be a star from that point on, although I had my doubts during his abysmal tag reign with Bob Holly.

When they were both in legacy, at the time Dibiase was definitely the better of the two, but as time went on ted got thrown under th bus and rhodes seemed to just get better.

Orton is never going to be more over. He only got so over because people were tired of Cena. His character is repetitive and boring as he, ironically, gets the Cena treatment now.

I've always hated the punt to the head though and IMO Orton was pushed too much too early with that "legend killer" crap. :biglaugh: Orton is one of the better in-ring performers in the WWE today, but to compare his in-ring ability as being somewhat in the same league to that of Bret Hart is a joke. Hart was one of the best ring technicians of all-time and had a moveset that is much greater than that of Orton's.

I think he is above mid card titles... after beating a main event talent in Mysterio it be a step backwards to get on e of those titles.

unfortunately those titles have no more prestige to them... neither were even defended at WM... the US title even got bumped off the card

I actually must agree with person you quoted. Randy is just a tremendous worker, it's the lack of charisma in his mic work that I think tends to be his down fall. Orton is by far the best technical wrestler in the new PG generation. If he had talent to work with (Like Kessel:sarcasm:) He'd be put in outstanding places.

I can't imagine Orton in the attitude era, I think he'd have "The Rock" level status right now, I think he's that good. However Orton is 30 now, so he to me is now the present of the WWE, not the future.

Ive been an Orton fan since his RNN update days (BEFORE EVOLUTION!) He's the best thing to happen to wrestling in a long, long time.

BUT the topic on hand is Cody Rhodes. Who I've liked for a very long time and last night was his coming out party, outstanding match. Very entertaining and the gimmick is exceptional!:handclap:

Most huys can pull off the speedo look by just wearing knee pads, Cody just looks like he's standing there in his underwear.

Never understood why wrestl..er..superstars wore them anyway whats wrong with the type of tights Ziggler wears for example, same thing basically, just more shorts-like and not small nut huggers.

I love the new gimmick, my only problem with it is the mask is too translucent so you can tell he doesn't look injured or deformed underneath it. Something like opaque plastic around the nose which was broken would be more convincing.

Also, I am looking forward to the return of the Triforce some day.

I'm starting to like Rhodes character more and more each week. This week's promo was good.

What an incredible promo this week. He is killing it week in week out.

I really couldn't have cared less about Rhodes before his feud with Mysterio but I find myself liking him more and more every week. His promos are very good and his ring skills are improving every week. But I agree with whoever said he needs to get some knee pads :laugh:
