Goalies:

1 Iiro Tarkki, Hermes
31 Tuukka Rask, Ilves

Defensemen:

2 Markus Nordlund, Lukko
4 Otto Honkaheimo, Lukko
5 Teemu Laakso, HIFK
7 Ville Mäntymaa, Tappara
25 Juha Uotila, HIFK
26 Juuso Hietanen, HPK
35 Risto Korhonen, Kärpät
37 Mikko Kuukka

Forwards:

8 Masi Marjamäki
9 Pasi Salonen, Pelicans
10 Matti Uusivirta, Blues
11 Teemu Nurmi, Tappara
14 Ville-Vesa Vainiola, Lukko
16 Arsi Piispanen, JYP
22 Valtteri Tenkanen, JYP
23 Kim Nabb, Sport
24 Matias Keränen, Blues
29 Jussi Makkonen, TPS
38 Lauri Korpikoski, TPS
39 Aki Seitsonen
40 Lauri Tukonen, Blues
41 Petteri Nokelainen, SaiPa

The best team available, although I would have picked Miika Lahti. There is such good depth up front that the bottom feeders (now Vainiola, Nabb, Keränen) shouldn't be offensive players. There is also a slightly larger roster for a camp in Vierumäki prior to the tournament (http://www.finhockey.fi/maajoukkueet/u20_u19_maajoukkue/kausi_2004-2005/jaaleiri_vierumaki_26-30_7_2004/) and Jesse Joensuu isn't included even there.

Don't you just love what Teemu Laakso being only underager not stuck with a 30+ jersey number bodes?

I like that team very much, look like very decent croup. Teemu Laakso is amazing and he is only 16 years old and i think he is the best defender that team. I'm clad that he plays our finnish team and even more clad that he play's HIFK juniors.

Edit: I agree that Miika Lahti thing. I think he should be on that team.

Laakso still hasn't totally recovered from the injury he received in the playoffs last spring. He hasn't been able to train properly all summer (he could only do weight training, no running or skating), so he might not be in the perfect condition for this camp.

We're all hoping that he heals before the season starts. It would be kinda bad for his career to be injured during the the season before the draft.
