Oh Jeff Fisher has to be pulling his hair out. He needs some things to come together quickly for this defense to be decent.

Well losing Kearse wasn't that bad, he was on the bench half the year. Losing Smith was kinda bad, but we just need Haynesworth to step in and actually be a man instead of trying to fight teammates. Boiman is fairly close in ability to Sirmon, so we shouldn't be in much trouble. The secondary is pretty much the same with Woolfolk getting a long look at a starting job.

Kearse still commanded the most attention from the defense, even when playing at half strength.

Smith was the most consistent DT, Carter is moving to a new position to replace him.

Sirmon was supposed to return and solidify a shaky LB situation since Godfrey left.

I got to say, I think the Titans defense looks rather suspect. 3 new DL starters (either new position or new starter) bodes badly. I think they miss the play-offs.
