I have a Yahoo Franchise league that is expanding (will have 2 expansion teams). it is an auction based draft, so the way the keeper system works allows for most of the top guys to re-enter the draft each year, and the sleepers/low cost guys are the ones who get kept (for example A. Rodgers was $61, and Mike Vick went undrafted resulting in a cost of $1, every player is +$10 to keep, obviously Vick is cheap and Rodgers is not.) . if anyone is interested please message or what have you. League has been around for 8 years, but is only in its 2nd year as a Franchise league. more info can be given.

Really only want people who know what they are doing to an extent/will keep active all season long(games are one day a week its hard not to be :laugh:)

The stats and draft date are not permanent, so don't get too mad about anything. I'm contemplating making divisions (2 divisions with 6 teams each). I'm also thinking of making a rivalry week for Week 14. I'd set up the league schedule so team 1 meets team 2 every year on week 14. It creates some playoff implications, makes things interesting, you know?

I have a few suggestion also. Yahoo! has introduced some new defensive categories that I'm using in a few of other leagues that I would recommend.

*3 and outs forced
*Tackles for a loss
*4th down stops

Also, can we please make this a ppr league? Honestly, it should be default for all leagues.

I thought it already made it a PPR league. Oh well, it's done now. I'm looking at those other Defensive stats, I'm kind of hesitant, I'll think about it. I everyone else wants those stats in then I'll make the change.

Any week night after 5 is good for me, I'd prefer Wed or Thurs. Fri / Sat / Sun are harder to do.

As long as it falls under team defenses, I'm fine. Individual defense players are a waste and frankly I want to be awake by the time this draft ends.

I've never heard of that but I like it.

RC, 3 pounts are too much for a chip shot. Why should a kick from 5 yards out be the same as a 30 or 40 (1 point diff) yarder?

Yeah, I dug it too. Plan on doing that with any league I run from here on out.

I'm cool with the current draft time also. I'm on the West Coast and don't get home from work till about 6 on weekdays. So weekends work better for me unless it would be around 6 or 7 west coast time, but I don't think the east coasters would like that.

RC, 3 pounts are too much for a chip shot.

Not as bad as -6 for missing a chip shot.

Considering a FG is worth three points in football and is Yahoo's value, that's the guideline I used.

I'm fine if you want to leave the FG makes as is. But I do argue that the misses need to be adjusted. I like that it is inserted, as I did the same with my leagues, but I prefer it being a bit more reasonable.

Personally, I'd keep Foster. Hillis dropped of a lot late. While I think he'll still be good I'd rather have Foster than the package.

The thread title should be changed to reflect that. It's a totally generic title, which is why there's like 3 different leagues being talked about in here. I don't even know who's in our league anymore.

Oh, and by the way, here are the rules.
First year:
Draft will be completely open with a random draft picked by Yahoo.
16 players per team. Perform as well as you can. Players who finish 1-4 in the league (these are playoff teams) will pick 12-9 respectively the following year. Players who finish 5th-12th will pick 1-6th respectively. This way there is incentive to keep playing because it will affect your draft pick. So yeah, NO TANKING.

After the first year you are allowed to keep up to 6 players but none drafted in rounds 1-4. Any players drafted in those rounds are auto-free agents at the end of the season. In order to keep a player you must give up a draft pick two rounds ahead of where you drafted him previously. If you decide to keep an undrafted player you will give up your 14th round pick the following year.

Example 1 : You draft Thomas Jones RB Arizona in round 9 in 2001. He becomes the starter and you decide he's one of your keepers. In 2002, you must give up your 7th round draft pick (he becomes effectively your 7th round pick) to keep him. In 2003, he becomes your 5th round choice and after that you can't keep him again because you've owned him for 3 years.

Example 2 : You draft S. Morris, WR KCC in round 5 in 2001. You decide to keep him. In 2002, he becomes your 3rd round draft pick (you give up a 3rd rounder). In 2003, because his draft status was round 3 in the previous year, he is no longer eligible for keeper status and is returned to the draft pool.

Keeper status stays with a player when he is traded (easy enough to keep track of based on previous drafts). You may not keep a player more than 2 times (so he may only be on your team for 3 consecutive years). If for any reason you have 2 players whose draft status would put them in the same round, you will have to give up the pick in front of whatever pick they occupy.

For example, let's say you draft a player in the 5th round and trade for a player also drafted in the 5th. You decide to keep them both, which would give up your 3rd and 2nd round picks.

At the beginning of each new year, the draft order is determined by the standings of last year (already covered). These drafts will be done on Yahoo, The draft pool will consist of non-kept players and all rookies. Picks may be traded during the regular season, but not before the Year 1 draft, because it's Year 1. What's the point of trading picks before a Year 1 draft? None. Off season trading is allowed via posting in a thread/forum we will have made for this league. (This one). Also, PM me in case I miss it, thanks!

The rule as far as IR players is that players who close the year on IR can only be kept at their original draft value. Players who can be kept at 14th round value include undrafted players who are picked up, players drafted in the 16th round (or rounds after if you have more than one player for a round value), and players who are drafted, dropped, picked up and PLAY after they are picked up. If you pick up a player who is never able to play while on your roster, and he has an original draft value, that is his value.

All rules are subject to debate and change based on player preferences.

Got caught up in the Greene hype last year and it achieved me nothing, except that I picked up Tomlinson to handcuff him and he actually went pretty well.
