I know its only rumors but does anyone know if the new 3rd jersey is coming out soon?

Exactly.. I love our current third jerseys, and this new one is cool but doesn't look as nice to me. The 35 point leaf is the best hands down..

I would bet the collars will be white.
I hope the actual Leaf is a better replica of the 67 sweater than the ones that were floating around when the Leafs honoured that team a couple years back.
The leaf on those replicas was way too wide (I know....I have one) compared to the actual 67 sweater.

I too would be down with making the old third the away sweater, although they sure did suck most times this past season when they wore those!:laugh:

I love this new one! and i love the fact they keep coming out with new ones. I only get to toronto once a year for a game and always buy a jersey at the ACC.. Im really looking forward to this one, Hopefully its legit the new one!

Those are pretty handsome, but if it means our current thirds are put out of use permanently then thats not cool, they are the nicest jerseys in the game imo.

I'm looking forward to the new jerseys. I always like to see what teams come up with. Also that could mean that the 3rd jerseys might go on sale like the older home/away jerseys did.

And finally, one of the worst kept secrets of the summer has been the Leafs' new third jersey. It pays tribute to the 1967 design which was only used for a few seasons. Take note of the silver inner-outline of the throwback leaf crest. Other than that, it's practically identical to the old jersey.

It's funny because I have both the "old" 3rd (Phaneuf, autographed), and this time last year I bought the official vintage jersey that had this design, so I now have both this year and last year's 3rd jersey, completely by accident.

As good as the old 3rd jerseys were, thank god they're getting rid of them.

I think we have like a like a .215 winning record with them on.

I want to say that is a fake only because the leaf does not look "crisp"

I'd be fine with the 12 point alternate if the 35 point leaf was our standard sweaters.

I don't think that's the real jersey. Something is up with the crest. I think that's the older replica RBK version.

I think the reason we never go back to the 35 point leaf logo is because the current maple leaf is exactly like the leaf we have on our Canadian flag. Also, the blue jays have a maple leaf on their jerseys very similar as well.

Maybe just so internationally, it makes our Maple Leaf more recogonizable.

Also because someone licenced it? and it costs us money everytime we use the vintage ones

I like the look of the third jersey simply because it matches well with the socks they wear. I can't remember the last time the socks were changed, but in my opinion they don't go well with the current home and away jerseys.

I think the current 3rd Jersey is better than this apparent new one, but thats me. They should change up their music in the ACC before making new jerseys. I think the music sucks lol heave away or w/e that song is called
