Dude, I know. I was exposed to it at a young age. My whole extended family smoked. (Many of them quit.) I had my first cig at 15 years old - Thought nothing of it.
I also hate walking out into public where I live with a cigarette and having all the *****y soccer moms look down on me like I'm the scum of the earth because I smoke. I've been told that I set a bad example for little kids - Well, OK, do your job as a ****ing parent and tell your little one that I'm doing is wrong.
Anyway, yeah, notecards. I really don't want to do them. My English teacher loves me so I can just come up with a ******** excuse like, "Oh, I left all my stuff at school and couldn't get it done," and she'd probably go, "You need to be more careful, Matt. Sorry. " haha
As for the HSPA's, I wouldn't know. I go to a private school (Bosco). We have to take the PSAT's as freshmen, sophomores, and juniors, though.
I have to write a research paper for a midterm grade in my English class.
My teacher is making us go through this step-by-step process leading up to the paper; Tonight, it's ****ing notecards. I mean, really? We're juniors in ****ing high school. We're not ********. I literally asked her in the middle of class today, "Are research papers in college going to be this much of a hassle?" Of course, she said "No."
I could be sparking up a nice Marlboro 27 and playing Black Ops right now, but no, I'm stuck doing ******** notecards that I don't need to do to get a 95 or higher on this ****ing paper.
(Yes, I'm addicted to cigarettes, BTW. I remember you saying something about it to me in another TaN. It's an awful, awful habit. )
