I totally agree & I believe this is one of the reason's some fans get so frustrated with CJ & his lack of adjustments. In my opinion the PP is much to structured. It is pretty evident Krejci has raised his level of play in the playoffs & is currently the Bs most dangerous offensive player. The guy has been great in the playoffs.

So why would Chia not have his current best offensive player playing with the more skilled unit? What would be wrong with moving Krejci up to play with Bergeron, Jagr & Lucic? People can point to regular season stats regarding the PP but if you go by who is currently playing better and a current eye test Krejci should be up there. Why Claude has not tried Krejci and Bergeron playing together on the PP is beyond me. They are your 2 best players. If you go back to game 7 against the Leafs in the last couple of minutes & watch Krejci & Bergy distribute the puck between each other & have 2 smart puck possession guys playing back and forth looking for open lanes it was a joy to watch and we all know how it turned out. With a PP that has struggled for so long I would think having all your top skilled players out their together would be something you may want to try to give it a kickstart.

They are winning which is the most important thing but it is a sign of CJ's stubbornness or his unwillingness to adapt to who is hot & who is cold. They do it when it is desperation time but are unwilling to try it on a regular PP and as a fan it is extremely frustrating.

They did have Krejci on the ice with the top unit, plenty of times throughout the season and more then once against Toronto.

It wasn't exactly world beating.

And it's not too hard to see why having Krejci and Jagr on the ice at the same time isn't a great idea. Neithers first instinct is to shoot the puck, it's to pass, and when they do shoot it's not exactly spectacular. It's a fairly good reason to choose one of Jagr or Krejci for each unit, but not both.

And not sure if you folks noticed or not, but Boston won the game. For once they got a ton of momentum from their stellar play on the power plays and went on to dominate the OT period in large part because of that.

Don't know what to think really....the problem with keeping the young guys in is that Chara ends up with too many minutes and that could hurt down the road. But the D looked so good in game 1 - Kruger, Bart and Hammy all with passing grades. Obviously Seids is automatic when he is healthy, And I guess Ference too. Redden may have lost his spot. Other thing to remember is that we didn't lose to the Leafs with our original starting six.....either way, too much depth is good problem to have.

IMO having your highest paid forward pay little or no attention to his off-season conditioning and comes in completely out of shape to the point where he goes "invisible" for a whole season is a problem.

Lucic's lack of conditioning is taking away from the player he has the potential to be. His lack of offseason work from a guy who the team has invested a lot of money and years into is worrisome and again I would say yes it is a problem.

Excuse me that I'm not so quick to look past a clear problem he has had and what he can improve upon.

If you think Lucic is beast mode now, imagine if he worked his ass off in hardcore conditioning and skating program like a biosteel program. You without doubt get a better Milan
