Shin splints are stress fractures though, right? If so, stretching and muscle workouts seem past their time. Or shin splints can lead to fractures? It's a bone issue not muscle.

I'm 5'9, 190-200 (been bulking and not weighing till a few more days), 28yo.

My warmup is weak; however, even with proper hydration and biking before a game I've had this issue. I will pay more attention to dynamic stretching during the next few games, add hydration, static hours before...most of what was suggested.

Could it at all be an ACL related issue? It's just the lower quad that gets super tight, not the whole thing. I don't know where exactly the ACL connects above the knee but I wouldn't be too surprised with my activity over the years.

I used to 3/8" eyebolts with a bungie cord across. I cut the plastic hooks of the bungie cord and cut the length I needed. I made two loops on each end of the cord by clamping them off with tie straps. Lots of ways to do it. I want to try a thicker band - maybe a bike inner tube. It might be better if the pass is not right on the ground.

Here is video of my son using it. I should have got a 2' x 8' board rather than lining up 2 2' x 4' boards. The gap between the two is hard to get even so the puck slides across both boards.

Found one in woodbridge I can go tomorrow thanks. I can really spend up to 3000 on everything. Already have leg pads but I'm worried about my catcher , blocker being used The glove in the blocker actually has a rip so my finger is slightly exposed to the air although the blocker itself covers my hand...still it would prob be smart for me to look into good catchers and blockers too.

Any truly elite players that I have gotten a chance to play with would not pass up a quality scoring chance if the opportunity presented itself, but also would not hesitate to distribute the puck if they did not have a clean look.

I used to play with a guy that would skate in on the goalie and if he didn't get the look that he wanted, circled around the net like Bobby Orr and would just skate around our offensive zone, holding the puck. Once the defense had set up in the zone and the lanes had closed he'd eventually pass it, but only if there is no scoring play for him. The thing I never understood was that the guy wasn't particularly fast, but had quick hands; He could have used those quick hands to generate some bang-bang plays, but the thought never crossed his mind. Instead he would just dangle around everybody until he was trapped and ended up caughing up the puck trying to dangle his way out.

Two more games with the M60.

There's some clear coat peeling at the heel and it MIGHT be starting to crack there. Could be from chopping the ice hard, highly doubt it would be from shooting. Can't really tell right now. Blade is still stiff though.

Still shoots great, puck feel is still mediocre. The lie I think is messing me up a bit as I'm used to a bit more upright blade and a bit shorter stick. I'll cut it a bit more before I use it again.

Shots are staying low which is making me focus on shooting low. Maybe too much as I used to be able to get some good top shelf goals but all my goals are bottom half of the net now.

Passing is good though, still easier than the P92.

Still pretty happy with it, but I hope if/when the blade goes, I can salvage the shaft and throw something better in there.
