Agree with this. Fabian definitely creates more in the midfield than defense obviously but he does get a good job of getting forward and sending in crosses from LB though. I also am not sold on Beasley as a starting LB come WC time. Give him full marks for playing hard and working his way back into the WC picture though.

I actually prefer Donovan on the left side of the midfield and so, Zusi can stick on the right.

EDIT: And whether you think he should start there immediately or not, I definitely want him starting vs Mexico and when the WC starts next summer.

Im not going to get all upset about not signing a player that wanted guarantees on playing time. **** that, earn your playing time. Too many players got time last year due to injury and not because they deserved it (even some players didnt get hurt and played too much).

Until there are real transfers in or out, JK hasnt done anything newsworthy.

Hope he doesnt sell Yohan Kebab or bring in Charles Insomnia though.

When it comes to Handball i really don't know. I don't follow the domestic handball that much at all. But when you have had one of the best national teams the sport has ever seen I guess there will be som kind of a downfall after that. It might have some to do with hockey and football growing (looking at revenue) and taking a lot of the national market and markets in the bigger cities. Hockey for example has grown massively when it comes to revenue the last decade. Talent choose hockey and football first since you actually can make good money playing in Sweden - and those two sports get most media attention by far. Then we have the new thing, floorball (innebandy), that stole a lot of talents - and still do I guess but not to the same extent.

But yeah. The decline of Handball is sad to see.

Football? Well, to be honest (as I wrote before) I believe that the federation has been lazy(or just plain old incompetent). We have qualified for more big tournaments than we have talant for really. We had two coaches that saw the football field as a chess board and was really good at chess. :) We do have some talent but "it" is missing. The only guy that seemed to have "it" is Guidetti, but a bad chicken seems to have ruined him. The new generation that comes up now also seems to be more "individual". Sweden has always been about team. We have always been inferior when it comes to talent, but our teams could beat anyone. And then there is something with the mindset of the once that comes up. We had a great U21 team a couple of years ago. Only one became decent (Ola Toivonen), and most of the other players from that team only know how a bench feels like. Rasmus Elm might have som game in him but can't really get it going in the national team. The federation has some work to do.

USA and Costa Rica have one foot in Brazil already. For the US one more win will be enough while Costa Rica will probably need 4 points. Despite having only 1 win in 6, Mexico are actually in a decent position as they face Panama and Honduras at home, if they win both those matches then they will quality with no problems

Unless Mexico continue to struggle to score, 4th place will be fight between Honduras and Panama. I have been disappointed with Honduras, but maybe I underrated Costa Rica a bit. Jamaica are pretty much out
