Would you guys take Grabovski for him and a salary dump ? He's pricey, I know. But hear me out:

I'm well acquainted with Burmistrov from his time with the IceCaps this season. I was really impressed with his skating, but what I was most impressed with was his willingness to get physical and his capabilities on the penalty kill. I remember one PK in particular where Burmi stole the puck from an opponent, brought it all the way down into the offensive zone, went around the net, stickhandled through a few defenders, left the zone and retreated to his own blue line and passed it off to a d-man before changing. He seriously killed about 30 seconds off the penalty kill all by himself. We gave him a standing ovation.

Grabovski, prior to this season, had back-to-back 50-point seasons. Under Carlyle this season he was relied upon to play a more defensive role, which hurt his offensive production. Despite this downturn in production, he simply never gives up on a play or takes a game off. His work ethic is amazing. Those of you who watched the Bruins/Leafs series probably took note of this. His 125 points over the last 3 seasons would place him 4th among your forwards behind Ladd (155), Kane (133) and Little (126).

Grabovski needs a new start somewhere under a coach who will use him in offensive situations.
Burmistrov seems like he could use a change of scenery and would fit in very nicely on the Leafs' 3rd line.

Let's keep it civil, guys. Just a feeler.

Personally, I like Grabovski and I would be happy to have him on the Jets for what he brings on-ice. However, his contract length makes it very difficult for the Jets to do it. Before Grabovski's contract expires the Jets will have to resign a number of core players, Ladd, Schiefele, Trouba, etc.

I think, at least on the offensive end, Grabovski would be an excellent centre for Kane. Of course, there's also a good chance that line's backchecking would have Noel tearing his hair out.

I have personally all but removed him from my prospect rankings. I don't see him playing for the Jets.
I could perhaps see a team like Detroit looking at him and letting him try to figure it oversees for 4 years, but something like that is a long shot.

It is a shame. He has some really nice physical tools, but he can't shoot and has some issues between his ears.

Bogo would be an UFA after 2 seasons, so a 6 year deal for him would be 2 RFA, 4 UFA.

Ask yourselves: what would Bogo get this July 1 if he were a UFA? And what would he get on July 1, 2015 as a UFA heading into a season with an $80 million cap? This is the line his agent will be taking: "my client will do 2 years/$8 million or 8 years/$52 million."

I don't see us having to get to $6.5 Gm0ney but Bogo can always take a shot ;). Suter was Norris trophy level talent and sold all UFA years in the crazy UFA market frenzy with lots of bidders last summer when the cap was higher for $7.538 per.

Love Bogo to death but he is not a finished product like Suter was and he is still selling 33% RFA inventory (if its an 8 year deal) and a pinch of potential. Also Bogo will be 30 when his deal expires and one would speculate he will still have some great years left to sell whereas Suter will be 34 when his contract expires so he was selling his best years.

You may be right but my guess is 5.5 ish

(TBH I do understand the difference in value on how we have an RFA (Tangradi) over an expiring UFA (Poni)... even if it's really a 4th liner for 3rd liner deal)

Theoretically one of Scheifele or O`Dell should add scoring punch to that 3rd line over Tangradi-Burmi-Santorelli.
Burmi brings the ice-tilting although not the scoring. Best players bring both but if you can put Burmi on a line with a scorer, good things should happen.

Watched the game last night, the kid has some speed and skill. With some good line mates (Kane) I think he would do well in the NHL. The Mock draft has us picking a D at 13... please no more D!

Domi is playing is way into the top ten. He is a much a "sure thing" as the big 3 in this draft (imho). I am actually starting to feel less confidence in our ability to take a top tier prospect at 13 and hope Chevy gets a chance to move up.

Has there been any talk about a new Burmistrov contract? What are the chances that instead he leaves for the KHL?
