I was at 90% of the Aeros games this past season and i can say that Miksik is the real deal. If it wasn't for him the team would have been upset in the first round and the rest of the playoffs the team played better but he was called upon to make several big saves each night. Going to be tough without him this season Packers fans should be excited he's a gamer.

But that statement is very shallow. I mean, if the 16 year old isn't good enough to earn a roster spot, then is it fair to give him the spot of a 19 year old who's earned it and can be valuable to the team, and can provide leadership to the 16/17 year olds who have made the team? No. So in that case it is better to have the 19 year old.

If the 16 year old is good enough to make the team, a good team will give him the chance to develop. And it doesn't necessarily mean they think he'll represent his country at the world juniors, if I'm developing a 16 year old the hope is that he'll be a stud for me at 18/19 .. and is there anything wrong with that? If he gets drafted, if he gets to play for his country, that's a bonus.

But its in a teams own best interest to develop their own assets as well as they possibly can.
