Must say, I love the list and can only imagine the hours you put in. A fresh takes like yours is immensely helpful as contrast against 'group think.' I just want to be another voice of thanks...
That said, I'm curious if you've updated your projections beyond a draft year? Obviously, the draft is a snapshot in time, but players do continue to develop. It seems logical that one player's development might stall, while another's explodes, and that would impact their relative values. Have you ever considered applying your model post-draft, say one year out, two years out, that sort of thing?
Just curious. Regardless, thanks again for a highly interesting read!
Bristedt, Linköping J18 last year and coming season will be a key player for Linköping J20. Linköping put him in a role as playmaker of one line with por vingers last year for him to produce on his own in 3rd line and did not get hi on points (29 p in 31 g). This year will be different and cruz/Bri will likely play together)
In J17 Sweden Bristedt played with better players and had 9 g in 11 game (Burrakowski 2nd with 4 goals) He also had most points overall. http://swehockey.se/ImageVaultFiles/..._2011-2012.PDF
Other stats: J17 challenge: (overall tourney) 1st goals, 1st pp g, 1st bp g, 1st Gw g. 4 nation (swe, fin, russ, tjeck) 1st overall in p and g
Högbom You can forget as for now. Ranked about 10th of Swe 95 D´s.
Crus Rydberg back from some injury probs and a tough 1st year after comback (8 m foot injury). Will have a good season in Linköping J20 and Swe 18. His stats will raise back to what it used to be. His vision is great. 1st ever player to be 2nd for Ponts TV-pucken as under aged player. Back to stay on the jr nat team. No J17 challenge team due to another injury (broken finger)
I know you are a stat guy, especially when discussing prospects. I know you have crunched the even strength vs power play points per game...I am wondering if you have broken down the assists of top prospects, ie. how many first assists to 2nd assists.
Basically, looking for the breakdown for the top 5 forwards (RNH, Landeskog, Couturier, Huberdeau, and Strome).
If you havent done it, dont worry, I just imagine a fellow like yourself has probably broken down that stat.
If you're the one who commented on Josh McDaniels and the mathlete lol...then I got a bone to pick with you. I noticed the other day Americans continue to trail in 8th and 4th grade in math testing, is there any solution that you can suggest to address these issues
yeah, I'm a huge college football fan ... as in ACC hehe ... although the team hasn't done great in the last few years there's still some bright spots like Myron Rolle and a few others doing well in the NFL like Cromartie
