Among the Cedars; Lebanon Wants Minor League Hockey
New arena may be on the way in Wilson County; minor league hockey a target tenant:

Under the proposal, the Cumberland Center would include 1.5 million square feet of retail and office space, and the local sales and property taxes generated would fund the construction of a 4,500-seat arena designed to attract a Central Hockey League team.

The events center would include two ice rinks, one in an arena setting and another for practice and community teams.
I remember hearing rumblings about this this several years ago. Not sure the CHL is the way to go considering it's current state, but it's good to see interest in bringing minor league hockey to the area in addition to the NHL. I wonder what, if any effect this might have on Predators' attendance...

I don't think it would do anything for the Predators attendance.

I'll believe this when they break ground, this rumor has been going around for years, like the Murfreesboro rink.

I hope it happens we need more ice here, these 10:50 start times on weeknights suck.

For one moment, I was thinking 'how will they play if the ice rink isn't standing when they get there'.

More ice is good. More leagues at all level is good. Depending on an A or AA level league to generate revenue for a gov't funded arena isn't so good.
