16 November-(Post 79)

Hey there Habs Fans,

Over on the Bruins board (I know, I know) I do a daily post that basically just has the title "News Article" and the Date.

It is basically just a compilation of all the news stories of that day put together in one post for easy access and reading.

Habs10Habs came across this on the Bruins board and decided he wanted a similar style post for the Habs fans.

I agreed to post here, as well as the Bruins board.

Please note, everything I post are from Habs based websites. My opinion will never be included. I will post as unbiased as possible.

I am simply doing this out of respect for Habs10Habs, the posters here and out of respect for the Organization.

As many of you know, I have no issue with the Canadiens, and often times find myself supporting them.

That being said, I hope you welcome this as an opportunity to have access to many articles in one post, and a good place for discussion the daily events of the Habs.

I will post for now, but if at any time one of you want to take over, let me know, and we can discuss it.

Cheers all, I hope you enjoy these!

Canadiens-Penguins Preview

A bevy of injuries and a two-game suspension to defenseman Kris Letang will leave the Penguins short-handed again Thursday night, when they continue the NHL's busiest early season schedule against the visiting Montreal Canadiens.

HELP COMING FOR HABS?

The Montreal Canadiens have been held to one goal or fewer in their three regulation losses, but they should get a boost Thursday when they host the Pittsburgh Penguins with the expected return of Michael Cammalleri. The winger has missed Montreal's last three games with a leg laceration.

History shows Habs will rebound

When the 1-3-1 Canadiens struggle out of the gate as they have, there's a century of history to sift through for comparisons that are ridiculous to make

But still . You've got to go back to 1938-39 to find a Canadiens club that went winless in three straight home games to begin a season.
That year, Montreal dropped its 3-2 opener to Chicago, fell 2-1 to the Maple Leafs four nights later, then was bombed 7-1 by Detroit a week after that.
And as Price keeps looking for his elusive 100th win, there's this little coincidence: long-ago Canadiens goaler Wilf Cude was also looking for his 100th victory back in 1938.

Martin puts focus on crashing crease

Martin is hoping his team can convert more of its scoring chances into goals, and that was the focus of Wednesday's practice in Brossard. The Canadiens worked on crashing the net for rebounds and screening the goaltender.

Gutsy, banged-up Pens to host Habs

For the second time in three games, the Canadiens will face a team atop the NHL. But his one, the Penguins, is like the Canadiens — pretty banged up.
The teams face off on Thursday in Pittsburgh and the Pens are now in a four-way tie with Colorado, the Caps and the Stars with 10 points. They have the most goals in the league with 23, but they’ve surrendered 20. They’ve also played the most games, eight.

I said I would change it before doing this but I was told not to worry about it!!

I didn't mean it as a bragging point. :(

Should we trust her? What if Habs10Habs has nothing to do with this and she's only using his name to spy on us?

Surprisingly nobody complained about the young lady in that picture. Maybe she can do the same pose without the cup :)

Without the jersey would be nice too.

Anyway, thanks a lot for doing this LoneWolf. I noticed your thread on B's board and thought it was a good and useful idea.

That is something I will NOT be doing, hahaha.

And just to clarify, I took the idea from Gee Wally, on the Bruins board. Credit where credit is due, this was his thread before I took over.

Hmm... I agree with the Espionage thing. Stay vigilant Habs fans! ;) Habs10 seems to be MIA.

I also kissed the cup once in 93.....

roy munson 10-20-2011 12:11 PM

Thanks, very nice!

ps. *sigh*... I wish my girlfriend was into hockey too. Rott in hell occupation double et al!...

neofury* 10-20-2011 12:52 PM

Thanks Lone, I personally have no beef with you even if I can be pretty anti-Bruin at times. I know you don't come here to start **** like a lot other peeps do. Thanks for the thread.

Ollie Williams 10-20-2011 01:21 PM

Thanks for doing this LoneWolf. Much appreciated.

LoneWolf54 10-20-2011 01:25 PM

You're welcome guys.

I look forward to doing it now that I have the approval from some of you..

I was a little bit nervous about the reaction at first.

Heres to hoping Cami plays tonight, and plays well, and Subban snaps out of his slump. Y'all need him!

I disect play by plays after games because I feel a lot of players who are taking heat do a lot of unnoticed things.

I tried to do the same for PK today, so at least I could give him a bit of support in the sophomore slump thread..

but..

but..

Hes averaging like two giveaways and a penalty per game :help:

I feel bad for him. Im not really a fan of his, Ill be honest, but hes not getting the breaks and its taking a toll on him.

That will lift once he snags a good goal.

Or during the Habs-Bruins home and home. Guaruntee you he is a stud and gets the confidence he needs next thurs-sat.

Thanks LW54, this turned out well.

Will a Chinese replica jersey, that you can't really tell its not authentic, work?
