NEWS & NOTES

QUOTES TO NOTE

I felt pretty bad on that powerplay goal, I was screening Lundqvist a little bit there.
I wanted to try to make it up for him and I am glad I could with the game winner in overtime.
- Ryan McDonagh

We try and support each other out there, even with some new guys back there. And we need that because we're going to have guys out (injured) once in a while.
Right now we have two good defensemen out and we need guys to step up and right now we are getting that. And we played a pretty simple road game and played really well.
- Henrik Lundqvist

You feel excited about getting the two points. More importantly I thought we, through most of the game, played better as a team.
- John Tortorella

Callahan4C 10-21-2011 09:30 PM

Let's go boys ... 3 in a row! 5-2.... gabby with 2, dubi, anisimov gets one and boyle

Wraparounds 10-21-2011 09:35 PM

Heave-ho, three in a row!

BlueshirtBlitz 10-21-2011 10:45 PM

We should beat the Oilers.

I wanna see Marty get a start. Hank's had a heavy workload the past two games.

Machinehead 10-21-2011 10:52 PM

I'm going on HFBoards sabbatical. Need to straighten things out.

I leave you with a resounding LGR! and may the force be with you all.

See you in a few weeks.

Maaxse 10-21-2011 11:10 PM

Should be an easy victory.

Jabroni 10-21-2011 11:18 PM

LGR!

I think we win this and go 3 in a row.

Gaborik, Dubinsky, Anisimov goals.

MorrisWanchuk 10-21-2011 11:18 PM

a corey potter sighting !

lgr

NYRSchrute217 10-21-2011 11:27 PM

3 in a row, hopefully.

Pizza 10-21-2011 11:37 PM

When I see some of the comments I've seen above about easy victories and such, I begin to think it won't be so easy.

Swept In Seven 10-21-2011 11:42 PM

Time to get the dubya. Time to separate the med from the boys

nyr2k2 10-22-2011 12:09 AM

Three straight. I'm feeling good. Can't underestimate Renney's boys though. LGR.

FromTheSide 10-22-2011 12:18 AM

When was the last time we actually had a chance to sweep the western canada trip? Yeah i think it's been awhile

NYRFAN218 10-22-2011 12:22 AM

RNH may be scratched tonight for Gagner which is interesting. Would definitely get Biron a start here also.

I was hoping for a split of the trip so we've already met my expectations. Anything else is a bonus. Extremely pleased with the start of the season considering the team is missing two of it's top defensemen, haven't played a home game, and have played games in three different countries.

Let's get two more tonight, LGR!

Lucbourdon 10-22-2011 12:35 AM

Is lund starting this?

No such thing. They are a decent young team.

I can see Biron going tommorow.

LGR

Bird Law 10-22-2011 01:31 AM

Let's murderdeathkill them.

Kane One 10-22-2011 01:52 AM

LGR! Since when was Potter a defenseman?

Swept In Seven 10-22-2011 02:06 AM

Haha Cory Potter in their top4  their offense is very talented but their defense is bad and I expect the rangers to be able to get offense

Kane One 10-22-2011 02:08 AM

Hopefully someone can **** up Smid.

Just out of curiosity, why Smid?

Because of that whole situation last year. Avery didn't suckerpunch him, when he and others claimed he did (even Christensen, who wasn't even looking and who I hoped was cut off the team after that).
