Learning to Win

Snipe by The Nuge, then a goal on a Corey power Potter play.

Huge game by Khabibulin as well.

The difference between winning and losing in this league is miniscule. Nice that Renney took a different route tonight.

Discuss.

bacardimayne 10-22-2011 11:33 PM

Corey Potter is impressing the **** out of me.

The Nuge 10-22-2011 11:33 PM

I approve of this thread

BoldNewLettuce 10-22-2011 11:34 PM

what is potter's nickname?

Joe Hallenback 10-22-2011 11:34 PM

Potter is what they hoped Foster would be

McRib 10-22-2011 11:34 PM

Corey power Potter plays are my favourite.

This year we're 1/1 on Corey power Potter plays.

syz 10-22-2011 11:34 PM

The best part was the Rangers fans thinking this would be an easy win because that horrible Potter/Power guy was playing top 4. I keep waiting for him to **** up and he just doesn't do it. Too good to be true.

Column5 10-22-2011 11:34 PM

Nuge 67% on the FO tonight. Only 3 FO's, but just sayin'.

Kevotron 10-22-2011 11:34 PM

We are officially the new Minnesota of the northwest, with the exception of a few snipers ! :sarcasm:

Velocirapture 10-22-2011 11:35 PM

Was really going to lose it if we squandered ANOTHER third period lead.

What's that, only TEN goals allowed in 7 games? Impressive.

He's exceeding every expectation I had of him, in almost every facet of the game. The pessimist in me wants to chalk it up to youthful enthusiasm, and I'd love to be proven wrong.

Hopefully, Hemsky can get back ASAP and jumpstart the offence because the D is impressing the heck out of me.

Gotta be 'power' now.

GreatKeith 10-22-2011 11:36 PM

It's probably because it's his contract year, but it's hard to argue against starting Khabibulin next game...

Tavaresmagicalplay* 10-22-2011 11:37 PM

Ryan McDonagh is really really really really good.

And to think the Rangers got him for Gomez.

oiler4ever 10-22-2011 11:38 PM

Unsung heroes Belanger and Horc for their strong FO. Sutton played good too

voxel 10-22-2011 11:38 PM

Potter's been great all season.

Oilers playing incredible defensive hockey all season too. Gone are the gong shows in our zone except with the kids. Every offseason addition has helped - Smyth, Belanger, Lander, etc.
