NEWS & NOTES

QUOTES TO NOTE

The league is too good, you can’t stop playing. You have to control pucks.
You don’t have to make it 8-1 but you still have to play your game like you’re trying to score and do stuff offensively and we stopped doing that.
- Brad Richards

This is a game we have to win. Up 4-1 at home with less than 12 minutes to go? It's not good enough...
- Henrik Lundqvist

It's on us to keep working. I think some of the details of our game are still weak, and until we get that solid foundation of the details, we'll sputter.
- John Tortorella

Heads Up: The GDT is a work in progress.

New York RKY 10-30-2011 11:00 PM

This may very well be an absolute blood bath.

I hope I'm wrong but I am not really looking forward to this game at all.

Get a big win here and that might be the confidence boost we need going forward.

Let's go Knic...errr Let's go NB....errr... Let's go Rangers! Yea that's the one.

NYRFAN218 10-30-2011 11:08 PM

Please ****ing win.

we want cup 10-30-2011 11:43 PM

This one could get ugly.

Machinehead 10-30-2011 11:43 PM

I took some time off for midterms and to sit myself in the box after a few violations. But I'm back now and I'm turning this ship around!! LGR!!

Florida Ranger 10-30-2011 11:45 PM

What a perfect day of the year to get killed.

I always believe.

Let's go, Ranggg-Lunqdvist.

3-2, Rangers. Dubi, Gaborik (2)

The Perfect Paradox 10-30-2011 11:53 PM

Despite the team's recent play, I'm still pretty excited to go to the game tomorrow. Hopefully the Sharks have some mercy on us

LGR!

Loffen 10-30-2011 11:54 PM

Yep, a bloodbath on halloween is fitting. I just hope we're the ones doing the killing. Yeah right! lawl

Callagraves 10-30-2011 11:57 PM

This team plays well against better teams. It's against Ottowa, NYI, and Toronto we have trouble.

I can see this one going in our favor.

BlueshirtBlitz 10-30-2011 11:58 PM

3-1 win, book it.

Gabby, Boyle and Dubinsky with goals.

True, but Ottawa and Toronto are no joke currently. I'd agree completely, but not for those two teams right now. Just for now.

WalterHeisenberg 10-31-2011 12:59 AM

Lgr!

Swedish Fish 10-31-2011 01:32 AM

Please stay out of the box, there team is already one big PP already

Kane One 10-31-2011 01:38 AM

I'll be there. LGR!

Glennsoe 10-31-2011 01:50 AM

Here's hoping Deveaux has a good showing tonight...

Net Front Presence 10-31-2011 02:12 AM

Let's go Rangers.

TriFF51 10-31-2011 06:26 AM

I was there last year when we were pounded by SJ, and i'll be there tonight....hopefully seeing a different result.

EuroFlair 10-31-2011 06:55 AM

This can be very ugly if the whole team don't step up.

McDonagh 10-31-2011 07:11 AM

Maybe the Rangers will dress up as a good team for Halloween tonight

darko 10-31-2011 07:12 AM

I think Rangers surprise everyone and play good hockey for entire 60 minutes.

Rangers - 4
Sharks - 2

LGR

1Knee1T 10-31-2011 07:47 AM

Third game in four nights for the Sharks, but they've won 5 straight I believe. This is a great game to gain momentum, and it starts with a 60 minute effort.

beastly115 10-31-2011 07:53 AM

I'll be happy as long as we don't lose by more than 3 goals. If you're going to lose, at least don't get stomped.

Hanke 10-31-2011 08:11 AM

Not ready for this one.

t3hg00se 10-31-2011 08:17 AM

Brandon Dubinsky | Brad Richards (A) | Ryan Callahan (C)
Wojtek Wolski | Derek Stepan | Marian Gaborik
Ruslan Fedotenko | Brian Boyle | Brandon Prust
Artem Anisimov | Erik Christensen | Andre Deveaux

Only change I'd make with this line up

Boyle - Anisimov - Fedotenko
Prust - Christensen - Deveaux

while playing Prust up a line as usual to get him minutes. Anisimov should not be on the 4th line, and Boyle-Anisimov-Fedotenko would be a fantastic shutdown line that can score.

Otherwise, the top 2 lines could have great nights.

pwoz 10-31-2011 08:27 AM

10-0 Rangers.
