Daugavins is returning to Binghamton where he is scheduled for dental surgery tomorrow on his wisdom teeth.
Hope he's back soon :)

Rhino Reilly 10-31-2011 12:21 PM

Whaaaaaaaaat!!?? He's an NHL player, he doesn't belong in the AHL anymore.

JonnyMacSen 10-31-2011 12:21 PM

Filatov stays? Or is he just getting called to bingo cause he likes his dentist?

JeffMangum 10-31-2011 12:22 PM

I'm surprised, I though he played very well against us on Saturday. Seemed to be making plays with the puck on every shift.

Surprised Filatov stays over him.

The Waffler 10-31-2011 12:22 PM

They say he's getting dental surgery and he'll be out for a few days. He'll be back soon.

Don't feel like looking for the link.

Ahhh that makes sense. Hopefully that's all it is, because I'm not sure he could have done more in the games he's played to prove he's worthy of a roster spot.

ChocolateLeclaire 10-31-2011 12:29 PM

Relax y'all. He was only sent down so he could get his chompers worked on and get fitted for a new gold and diamond-encrusted grill that says "Tha Daugfather".

SpezDispenser 10-31-2011 12:40 PM

He couldn't find a good dentist in Ottawa?

Mark Effin Stone 10-31-2011 12:42 PM

Maybe he just wanted a free limo ride to the dentist?

May have something to do with insurance? Just a guess...

Senacus Maximus 10-31-2011 12:47 PM

I hope he's back soon. He's been great. I love the energy and enthusiasm he brings to the table.

cobaltseraphim* 10-31-2011 12:51 PM

why pay someone NHL wage when they are going to be down for a few days. mineswell save a few bucks and pay him his AHL wage.

SENSational Sens Fan 10-31-2011 12:51 PM

Great opportunity for Filatov!!! :handclap:

Jared Cowen 2010 10-31-2011 12:52 PM

He was getting better each game. He deserves a roster spot.

Flamingo 10-31-2011 12:56 PM

Hockey players don't get dental surgery until after they retire. Rumour in the making?

armani 10-31-2011 01:38 PM

Loving the Dawg's game. He should be back after his recovery time.

L'Aveuglette 10-31-2011 01:46 PM

I'm guessing he'll be called back up by week's end. He's been too good not to be.

ChocolateLeclaire 10-31-2011 01:49 PM

He's a Maclean-type player, in that the coach loves what he brings to the game.

As others mentioned, the surgery was scheduled to take place in Bingo so back he goes TEMPORARILY.

As soon as those stitches close, the K-Daug will be back to howl at the moon.

BigEyedPhish 10-31-2011 01:53 PM

He will be going to the same dentist who beat my wisdom teeth out of my face 2 months ago..

yeeeee

Beville 10-31-2011 01:59 PM

Thank god it's only temporary.

However, if he's not back soon and Filatov stays.. I won't be happy.

Is it weird that i'm 21 and have yet to hear anything from my wisdom teeth. Don't feel them at all, dentists say they're not formed. When is it too late to get them taken out?

Apparently 25-26 isn't uncommon. You've got time.

Sometimes they just don't grow at all.
Ask your parents about theirs.

Well, not exactly. It's more that there's no reason keeping a guy up and pay him an NHL salary if you know he's going to be out of commission for awhile.
