NEWS & NOTES

QUOTES TO NOTE

I'm happy I got a chance to go. I had my move before I went. I think it was about time. I haven't gone for quite a few games.
I'm happy I got a chance and I'm happy I scored.
- Marian Gaborik

I get frustrated and take it personal. You face really skilled guys and if you're not on top of your game in the shootout, you're going to give up one and sometimes that's enough.
You have to be perfect and I haven't been this year (1-2), but it feels good to finally get a win.
- Henrik Lundqvist

Gabby's been our best player. He's ready to take the next step.
- John Tortorella

Heads Up: The GDT is a work in progress.

Blatant 11-04-2011 10:37 PM

LGR, make it a good homestand with this back to back and start our reign of dominance at home!

Ave Maria 11-04-2011 10:38 PM

Montreal has got off to a horrendous start right?

BlueshirtBlitz 11-04-2011 10:40 PM

LGR! 3-1 win. Gabby gets two. MDZ pots one.

They have won 4 in a row now after getting off to a real cold start. It will be a test.

surf 11-04-2011 10:41 PM

Like the second line!

ecemleafs 11-04-2011 10:42 PM

McDonagh hat trick.

beastly115 11-04-2011 10:43 PM

I'm feeling good about this one.

Which doesn't bode well for us. Every game I've felt good about we've lost...

surf 11-04-2011 10:43 PM

5-2 Rangers
Dubi w/the hatty

New York RKY 11-04-2011 10:48 PM

I think this will be a tough game for us.

We've shown that we have trouble playing faster teams and MTL is one of them.

However I like how the Rangers have been and they have had plenty of good scoring chances.

3-1 Rangers: Gabs (2), Richie, Cammy.

Ryan McDonut 11-04-2011 11:01 PM

id like to see them win the last 2 games on this homestand. keep up the good play please

Florida Ranger 11-04-2011 11:10 PM

Play 60 minutes for three games in a row!

That Stepan Guy 11-04-2011 11:12 PM

6-3.

2 from Steps, 1 from McD, 1 from DZ, 1 from Richards, 1 from Gaborik

fiedy88 11-04-2011 11:31 PM

No reason why we can't win this game with the way that we've been playing. Smart defensively, good puck movement once into the offensive zone, controlling the pace, get it done boys!

Kane One 11-04-2011 11:45 PM

Sexy avatar. Now let's get this win. LGR!

Jabroni 11-04-2011 11:47 PM

Gaborik is due for 1... or 3.

We win if we play like we have the past 2 games.

Has Zuccarello been called up?

chip chipperson* 11-04-2011 11:51 PM

cant wait

JeffMangum 11-04-2011 11:51 PM

Would LOVE to see McDonagh score. Although, watching him shutdown Plekanec and Cammalleri would be enough (not Cole, though...he could score 1 or 2 as long as the Canadiens lose, need it for my fantasy team :P).

Need to keep up with the Canadiens in this; I think this is a game where Woywitka is going to be lynched. He's slow as can be, and I think the Canadiens' speed will be able to exploit the third pair and the bottom-6.

Here's to a convincing win, though. Light Price up, let Lundqvist show who's the better goaltender. LGR.

No, SNYR writer reported that he likely won't be, either.

Machinehead 11-05-2011 12:11 AM

Yeah, don't lose.

NYRFAN218 11-05-2011 12:35 AM

I'll be in attendance and the atmosphere should be great with Sean playing and the Habs being the opponent. Habs fans that come into MSG are pieces of **** but I'll give them one thing, they get the Ranger fans into it and make the building loud. Hopefully the Rangers keep the good play going.

LGR!

SRTtoZ 11-05-2011 01:33 AM

McD hat trick. End of story.

That would be wonderful. So wonderful.

egelband 11-05-2011 05:26 AM

apparently stepan leads the team with 27 hits. and eminger is number two in shot blocks. i was surprised to read that.

beastly115 11-05-2011 05:36 AM

Habs played the Sens last night. Hopefully they come out tired!

jacko23 11-05-2011 07:10 AM

my wife is pretty good friends with Eric Cole's cousin, or second cousin.....not much but ill use it for a meet n greet one day :-).....always liked him EXCEPT when he plays us. so heres hoping he $hit$ the bed on this one.

4-2 NYR

Gabby (2), Richie, Danny G with the empty net.
