HBO 24/7 Schedule/Questions

A question directed towards fellow non-HBO subscribers (I assume that includes a large portion of readers here): How will be go about getting access to the Rangers-Flyers 24/7 series? Will there be streams, torrents?

Schedule below.

Quote:

HBO announced it will have a "primer" to "24/7," the series on the Flyers and Rangers that will lead to the Winter Classic.

It will be a 12-minute show on Nov. 25 (9:15 p.m.), which will lead into "24/7 FLYERS/RANGERS: ROAD TO THE NHL WINTER CLASSIC.”
It will not be censored, and Pronger figures to be one of the marquee interviews.

The Flyers and Rangers will meet in the Winter Classic Jan. 2 at Citizens Bank Park.

The "preview" will air 12 times on the main service plus six times on HBO2. The preview also will be available 24 hours a day at HBO On Demand,
starting Nov. 27 as well as on HBO GO®.

JonnyGaloshes 11-05-2011 03:39 PM

I don't know if this will happen for the Flyers/Rangers 24/7, but CNN was replaying some Manny Pacquiao 24/7 a couple weeks ago.

One can hope...

OzFlyer 11-05-2011 03:57 PM

Torrents were put up pretty quickly last year.

You can usually get Comcast to give you HBO for free. I've had it for free the entire time I've been a subscriber. Just call and complain and say you are going to switch to DTV or Verizon because they offer HBO for a cheaper price. The first time I did it I was serious so they gave me HBO for free for like six months or something to stay. At the end of the Six months I called again when it showed up on my bill and said I was going to switch again (even though I wasn't at that point) and they just re-upped it and it has been free for the past year or so (plus the original promotion, plus the six month freebie they gave me before that).

Sounds like a nice tactic ! We do not have comcast here in Florida, if we did i would certainly try that ! We have COX cable up here on the panhandle.

I used a similar tactic with AT&T Wireless recently, once you get in touch with the retention department, they cave to your demands and collapse like a house of cards under the pressure you place upon them.

i ordered hbo just for this! i can't wait! my friend has hbo and last year the caps pens 24 7 was awesome so i can't wait to see what its like wheb your own team is involved. plus actually seeing lavy behind closed doors will be amazing.

So it's just gonna be 12 minute episodes? Last year they were an hour, right (I know there were only 4 vs. 12 episodes)?

No, the "primer" (a preview of the 24/7 series) is going to be 12 minutes long.

The actual 24/7 episodes will be the normal length and should be nothing short of epic. HBO does an incredible job w/ it. I honestly wish they had one for every sport. The stuff that goes on behind the scenes is just so fascinating.

Damaged Goods 11-25-2011 06:08 PM

The preview is on tonight at 9:15.

Quote:

The cameras have been intermittently following the Flyers since training camp. Now fans and players will get a glimpse of the highly anticipated series.

Though it won’t be produced by the same crew who is putting together the Emmy Award-winning four-episode NHL reality series, a 12-minute preview on Friday will serve as an introduction to this year’s players and coaches.

The preview will air on HBO at 9:15 p.m.

It will also air another 12 times after that:

Nov. 25 (9:15 p.m.)
Nov. 26 (12:00 p.m.)
Nov. 29 (12:30 p.m. and 4:05 a.m.)
Dec. 2 (9:30 a.m. and 12:30 a.m.)
Dec. 4 (9:00 a.m.)
Dec. 6 (8:15 p.m.)
Dec. 9 (2:30 p.m.)
Dec. 12 (5:15 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.)
Dec. 14 (7:00 p.m.)

The first, hour-long episode debuts on Dec. 14 at 10 o’clock. Three episodes will follow on consecutive Wednesdays (Dec. 21, Dec. 28, Jan. 4).

Personally, I had tears in my eyes when Shelley was talking about skating. True story.

After watching that preview I hate the Rags even more and I didn't think that was possible.

Flyerfan808 11-26-2011 05:17 AM

PH taking jabs at Sather was refreshing.

Can't wait for this.

RJ8812 11-26-2011 08:29 AM

so the preview was just one last night?

Ironmanrulez 11-26-2011 10:37 PM

HBO 24/7 is absolutely awesome!

I really have enjoyed it last year, with two of my not favorite teams. But now with the flyers its is priceless. Have looked the first episode 5 times till now! :yo:

But there must be less Shelley in it and more Pronger!

FreshPerspective 12-13-2011 11:13 PM

This is going to be great.....

Anybody else think that the players get extra motivation to play well from this 24/7 deal? I would think the rookies find it exciting. I doubt they want to look like Washington did last year..or this year for that matter!

Broad st phantom 12-13-2011 11:36 PM

I'm interested how the teams are behind the scenes, and just the atmosphere of seeing our guys. We've had some drama as of late with Pronger and Giroux sidelined. Hopefully not Giroux for to long, but The Flyers are also on fire right now. So, it'll be interesting.

FlyerGuy18 12-14-2011 01:03 AM

HBO usually uploads episode 1 of every 24/7 series to their youtube channel. The NHL will probably upload the TV-PG version of episode 1 to thier video service too.

I'll also be uploading select Flyers clips to my youtube channel FlyersinHD
