Mike Walsh Story

I think this kid will turn out to be a steal. I feel he will shock people. Sam Rosen and JD raved about this kid during the season.

I've been impressed with the kid since day 1. We have Walsh, Taylor, Nasty Nate, and possibly Joey Crabb who all look like solid late round picks from that draft. I'm hoping we can get two NHLers out of the group. If we do, two late round picks like that who pan out? It'd be a great draft.

yea I hope Walsh can surprise people and make team in 2 years or so. We have no depth so maybe Walsh can sneak in and shock people since he is a natural LW. He has size and grit and little skill. I hope he is healthy this season. He was hurt this past season but good to see him get an "A". It shows he got good leadership if they chose him.

Well I don't think he'll be here in two years. He needs more time than that as he's still very rough around the edges. But the USHL is a great league to find guys in. It looks like it treated us nice in that draft, at least.

Walsh is a good skater, and he finishes his checks well. Didn't see much flare on the offensive side of the puck but hopefully he will improve.

It should. The Irish lost five of their top seven scorers to graduation, so Walsh will definitely be one of the players that will be relied upon for offensive production this upcoming season.

Walsh is my favorite late round prospect. He will make the Rangers some day ....
