Good effort.

Vamos Rafa 11-11-2011 12:07 AM

Gosh darn it

Brad Doty 11-11-2011 12:07 AM

Starting to get that numb feeling I had at the end of the DT/beginning of the DL years.

bobafettish* 11-11-2011 12:08 AM

someone needs to talk to DD, Vancouver seems to bring the moron out in him.

Hatter 11-11-2011 12:08 AM

6 outta 7 yeah? Oh and Richards is our best player all season.

alpa 11-11-2011 12:08 AM

So many chances and we can't put it in more than two times each game.

Fraser looked good, missed his penalty.

Cruel11 11-11-2011 12:09 AM

Can we clone Kopitar?

Josh Deitell 11-11-2011 12:09 AM

If we don't take those first period penalties we win this hockey game

Discipline needs to improve. Everything else was fine tonight

We dominated the play for those last two periods

DapperDan 11-11-2011 12:09 AM

I really hate the umbrella..ella..ella..ey..ey..ey

KINGS17 11-11-2011 12:09 AM

Stupid penalties by some of the usual suspects the story of this one.

Seriously. Our 2-year run wasn't even that great and we're back to our losing ways again. Hockey gods hate us.

Sydor25 11-11-2011 12:09 AM

Anyone else think the Kings should play the same third period style when the game starts 0-0? They were able to generate shots from the slot and still didn't allow any goals against.

Time to stop with the slowdown and win 2-1 game plan.

maybe it was because they were playing with a 3-0 lead.

alpa 11-11-2011 12:10 AM

Penalty box visits are killing us in this season...coach???

Ziggy Stardust 11-11-2011 12:10 AM

That first period set the Kings back. They had to climb up a steep hill to stage a come back and they nearly did that. The loss didn't result due to poor play or lackluster effort but to a terrible start in the first. Kings need to be better with the opportunities that are given to them.

My major concern is still the inability by the bottom six to generate offense.

Kingsfan32 11-11-2011 12:10 AM

I'm glad they didn't quit. But, god damn, start playing with more effort like they can and they can win games. Oh well. Still hope the worst for the Canucks.

I can't wait to go home Saturday. I get to watch the Kings on my own TV and get on my own computer.

GO KINGS!

yapperface 11-11-2011 12:10 AM

LA looks to have a good team if you can get your guys to cut the dumb penalties down. Looked like the better team in the last 40 minutes.

Cruel11 11-11-2011 12:10 AM

The kings dug themselves into a hole. We would have won the game, if it wasn't for those penalties.

I shudder when I think what we'd look like without him. Really hope we can turn this around and go much further than Philly to make this season profitable for him.

i don't think the first period has that much to do with it. it's all about offense, when we can't generate the 3 goals, we aren't doing enough offensively. we got a lucky 2nd goal, even without them scoring in the first, we'd just be scoring 1-2 goals today. That really just ain't cutting it.

OK Computer 11-11-2011 12:12 AM

This team has "crap the bed early and get it together down the stretch and go into the postseason on fire" written all over it. I'd rather we play like ass right now as opposed to fall apart in March. It's going to happen at some point in a season. I still believe in these guys.

Brad Doty 11-11-2011 12:13 AM

Even regardless of the penalties, for a team that's supposedly got such a great defense, we've given up 3+ goals a LOT. For a team that's supposedly built to grind out 1-0 and 2-1 games, that's unacceptable.

It comes back to the discipline. Penalties galore. More odd man breaks this season than when we had stalwarts like Dallman back there. Doughty doing whatever the **** he wants without repercussions (this can only harm him in the long term). Is it the players getting away from the system? Is it the coaching? Is the team lacking an identity? Who knows?

At least the heart was there tonight, but results matter.

Penner has been very likable the last 2 games. Kopitar is an animal...as is Richards. And Fraser-Moreau-Lewis provided just the right amount of cluster-..messiness :P

If the Queen had balls, she'd be the King (and we could use her too).

Kings have goals in just 5 of their 16 1st periods. These poor starts are killing this team along with the early penalties which by the way are not the coach's fault.
