Lucic Disciplinary Hearing: Update: No suspension or fine

@TSNBobMcKenzie
Bob McKenzie
BOS's Milan Lucic has a 1 pm ET hearing tomorrow with NHL disciplinarian Brendan Shanahan for his hit on BOS's Ryan Miller.

**** the NHL

KnightofBoston 11-13-2011 07:57 PM

good stuff.

AlTheBruinsFan 11-13-2011 07:57 PM

Wtf!

The Scarecrow 11-13-2011 07:59 PM

I'm still wondering how the Seguin collision can be determined to NOT have a bearing on this entire thing. That collision had just as much if not more force than the Lucic hit.

plemur 11-13-2011 07:59 PM

Once it's decided, one way or another, Miller will be back to game shape. Someone who is willing to say the things he did after the game is willing to lie for "revenge."

Yeah, I'm a homer and a cynic on this, but it stinks to high heaven to me.

BigBadBruin8 11-13-2011 08:00 PM

**** you National Hockey League. **** you.

In person means it generally merits 5+ games. On the phone is under that. Maybe he gets away with nothing like Aaron Rome did this week, but it shouldn't be anything.

The Sabres better get slapped with a serious sanction for letting a "concussed" player continue to play.

A disciplinary hearing.....unreal.

ToddRundgren 11-13-2011 08:00 PM

BOS = BuffalOSabres? Weird.

Anyway, I expect a game or to since he was suspended for the Lapierre incident. I don't AGREE with it but I think it's likely.

patty59 11-13-2011 08:00 PM

What a joke. A minor penalty is suspendable now? Pure garbage. **** Miller, hopefully Lucic drills him again.

Kate08 11-13-2011 08:01 PM

This is literally one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard.

Lucic is big though and he's mean so lets forget about Seguin's collision.

TwineTickler 11-13-2011 08:02 PM

This is crazy. If he gets anything... it better be under 2 games.

mikelvl 11-13-2011 08:02 PM

He's getting suspended. My guess is 2 to 5 games because of Miller's concussion. Not saying I agree with that, but I think it's the reality.

Artemis 11-13-2011 08:03 PM

It's a hearing.

I'll wait to see what happens before I go off the deep end.

tede 11-13-2011 08:04 PM

Not surprised as its gotten a lot of attention. I will wait to see if there is a suspension before I get angry.

sooshii 11-13-2011 08:05 PM

Good. Then Shanahan can clearly explain why this isn't a suspendable offense. And Buff can sack up or **** on the 23rd.

Shaun 11-13-2011 08:05 PM

Occupy Causeway.

We are the 99% who hate Miller.

Fire Julien 11-13-2011 08:06 PM

Well worth it, and hopefully he does it again no matter what that turncoat Shanahan gets told to give him.

You just concentrate on packing little guy. I'll call you tomorrow.

I'm AMAZED that no one is bring this up. It's a huge piece of evidence. How can you know which collision gave the concussion when he didn't leave the game until after both?

Slapshot18 11-13-2011 08:06 PM

Definately not a legal hit. I loved to see it I don't think it is all lucics fault but reality is the nhl does not want to see this kind of stuff happen to star players especially.

Whatdya wanna bet he gets 5 games.... just enough so he misses the rematch, Sabres retaliation will be muted and Shanny hopes that cooler heads prevail for their next matchup.

Edit - I've been drinking.

NinthSpoke06 11-13-2011 08:14 PM

Settle down people. Plenty of guys have had "hearings" with the NHL before and not got suspended.

Shanny just wants people to know that hitting the goalie outside the crease is still illegal.

Speaking of going off the deep end...
