when is legwand back?

I Will Son 11-16-2011 02:35 PM

Legwand probably died and they havent told us.... Anyways go Preds

Honestly though, no one knows when he will be back

Everlong 11-16-2011 02:53 PM

Leafs will be without Grabovski, MacArthur, Armstrong, Reimer and Connolly is still a question mark. Shut down Kessel/Lupul and it should be in the bag.

Franson should be playing.

I'm a fan of the leafs too so I'm hoping for an up-tempo game with lots of chances. Overtime or shootout would be ideal. Go preds!

I'm not that comfortable going into overtime. Three losses already.

How about a clear, effortless win once in a while. Of course there's the CBJ game on Saturday, but I bet they'll just sharpen up before that to give the Preds a hell.

ThirdManIn 11-16-2011 05:18 PM

It doesn't matter how bad the Bluejackets are. They will always get up for the Preds game. I don't know why, but they seem to always play us well. Even in 2006-2007 when we won all 8 games I think it was something like three one goal games and two 2 goal games

What confused you? That I didn't include all 8 games? The rest we won by 3 goals or more ;)

my point was that even when we were dominating them they played the majority of the games close.

I think he was wondering why you posted BJs facts in a Maple Leafs GDT...

Thrashin Smashville 11-16-2011 10:56 PM

New Preds fan. Pretty awesome to actually the games here in Ga.
3-0 Predators

gopreds19 11-16-2011 11:24 PM

With a home game versus a depleted Toronto lineup and backup goalie combined with the BJs next, you'd have to think we should win the next two games. But somehow things don't always go as planned for the Preds in games like these. Let's win them boys!

Let's take em down 5-0 then!!! We owe them a monster payback anyways. Wasn't it last year up in Toronto we had a 3-0 lead early in the 1st period, only to allow like 5 power play goals?

Everlong 11-17-2011 12:26 AM

We'll see Lindback hopefully in Toronto or Columbus. I know Rinne is rolling but would be good to get him some ice.

I remember that we were up by 3 at home and they came back to beat us. Grrrr. That annoyed me a little.

Don't let up guys. The overall intensity of Tuesday was amazing--THAT'S what we want to see from this club every game. Use the momentum of Tuesday and take this game and the one on Saturday. You'll thank me in April.

I hope you are wrong about this. Rinne is a workhorse and when he's on a roll I wouldnt rest him unless we have BTBs

if we get comfortably high in the standings, then we can rest him. right now we are 2 points from 11th

Welcome. I assure you, though it still hurts losing the team, being a fan of the Preds is great. Great organization and fun to watch.

Agree with Adz. Carry that momentum and keep those points rolling in. The league is still very tight with only a few teams stumbling early. Oh, and please beat the Leafs regardless.

Go Preds!!!

The Podium 11-17-2011 08:58 AM

Leafs without Grabovski, MacArthur, Armstrong, Reimer and possibly Connolly. This should be an easy win for you guys considering we are missing potentially 1/2 of our top 6 and our #1 goalie.

Anyways, good luck friends hope its a good one:):handclap:

bad juju...

I think this is a very winable game, just shut down Kessel and then the win is ours. I would like to see hornqvist get back on a point streak.

barrytrotzsneck 11-17-2011 09:56 AM

The Kessel trade that almost, but didn't happen still stings, I have to admit.

I think you are thinking the last time (2 years ago) the leafs played here. They started 3-0 and we tied it up but ended up losing. Either way, we owe them a huge beatdown.

I know we would've lost Wilson for sure, not sure what else we would've lost. Apparently Poile refused to trade Colin. I hope Colin can score half as many goals as Phil.

Yeah it does. Kessel would've been amazing in a preds jersey, but we got Craig Smith now. I think it turned out for the best.

Honestly, I wish we had traded up for a top forward in drafts instead of targeting Kessel. Imagine a Seguin level prospect on this team :amazed::amazed::amazed:

That's not true. I spoke via twitter to kevin paul dupont about it, around 6 months after the fact. He said that Boston was willing to accept Nashville and Toronto's offers--it came down to signing Kessel. Nashville would go no higher than 4.75 per for 4 years. The leafs offered 5 at 5.5. Nashville's offer, according to KPD, was Jonathan Blum, a first and a second.

To this day, I still make that deal.
