We signed Gallagher so he can hit the post every time he shoots?

DekeLikeYouMeanIt 11-16-2011 06:04 PM

Early Merry Xmas, Gals! :D

nodice 11-16-2011 06:04 PM

excellent news!

too early to buy a jersey? :sarcasm:

The Kremelin Wall* 11-16-2011 06:04 PM

Great. He'll be good in Hamilton next year.

Krnage 11-16-2011 06:05 PM

at least a good new today

giovannicanella 11-16-2011 06:08 PM

Great news...he is on pace to break all sorts of records in the WHL? Hopefully he can have an impact with us soon!

bipolarhabfan 11-16-2011 06:09 PM

By the time Christmas roles around, he should be playing on the Habs. In am sure we will go through our AHL and ECHL team with all the injuries we have had this season.

God, I hope not. Can we let him develop, and at least let him play in the World Juniors first, before calling him up to the AHL?

Anyway, they couldn't. He can't play in the AHL until next year or until his team is eliminated.

Crimson Skorpion 11-16-2011 06:52 PM

Can't wait to see him in Hamilton next year. Really happy for Brendan! :handclap:

“I would like to thank the Montreal Canadiens for taking a chance on me and believing in me,” Gallagher said in a release. “I’m very excited to sign my first pro contract, which puts me one step closer to realizing my dream of playing in the NHL. This would not have happened without the support of my family, my many teammates over the years, the coaching staff in Vancouver led by Don Hay, and the rest of the Giants organization.”

I have a good feeling about Gallagher.

Looking forward to seeing him in Hamilton next season.

kassian 11-16-2011 07:47 PM

Love it.

He's like a Brad Marchand minus the puke attitude.

habitue* 11-16-2011 07:53 PM

looking forward for a

Gionta-DD-Gallagher line...

Gonna need my binoculars to watch Habs games.

The last player that left me that kind of impression after a training camp was Plekanec. Of course that doesn't mean that he is bound to be as good ... but he left us wanting for more. special player.

WestIslander 11-16-2011 08:01 PM

Future top six:

Pacioretty - Eller - Kristo
XXXXX - Leblanc - Gallagher

Now Timmins, Gauthier and the Habs brass: PLEASE DRAFT ANOTHER STUD LEFT WINGER LIKE PACIORETTY AND WE ARE SET ON BOTH WINGS FOR THE NEXT 5 TO 7 YEARS AT LEAST.

DekeLikeYouMeanIt 11-16-2011 08:32 PM

That's a terrible and unrealistic top 6. But yea good to get the ELC out of the way. It was bound to happen before the WHL season was over.

Do you realize other teams have players drafted in the last 3 drafts outplaying all of those 5 players? How is that being set?

Protest the Hero 11-16-2011 08:42 PM

Happy for Gallagher.

le_sean 11-16-2011 08:43 PM

Good for him. He was probably always told he was a longshot and now he has an NHL contract. He was the best player game-to-game in the preseason. Everyone else seemed to love him and really want him to get that goal. He's the type of player that will make his linemates work harder.

Habs 4 Life 11-16-2011 08:44 PM

Good for him, it was expected after his great display during pre season. Keep playing hard Brendan:yo:
