Oilers 5, Wild 2
Whoa! :yo:

Since the Edmonton/Boston game:

"Super Bust" Taylor Hall
7gp, 8pts (4-4)

"First Overall" Tyler Seguin
6gp, 3pts (1-2)

Ho-hum. :sarcasm:

PeakOil 11-25-2011 05:31 PM

PGT: The streak ends. Oil 5, Wild 2

Matt Ryan 11-25-2011 05:31 PM

Hall, Hemsky, Horcoff line MVPs

Edit: And Hordichuck

NotBad* 11-25-2011 05:31 PM

Wow that was nice to watch.

Good job on Hordichuck for knowing his Roll.

The team FK Yeah!!!

MeestaDeteta 11-25-2011 05:32 PM

Good solid road game. Khabi played well. Kids did their part again.

SK13 11-25-2011 05:32 PM

Text book road game. Good win.

Velocirapture 11-25-2011 05:32 PM

I love how they comment on '4 points' for the kids when they had a combined 6 didn't they? And Hemmer gets 3rd star with one assist over Ebs and Hopper? Whaaa?

molsonmuscle360 11-25-2011 05:32 PM

Great game....Although Sportsnet was full of screwups right until the end when they said Hall/Eberle/RNH combined for 4 points...They had 6. 2 each. 2x3=6. It has to be the worst game I've seen Quinn and Co commentate.

Edm paper story says Wild boring- horrible for hockey.Mike Yeo didn't like it.Says 'Hopefully Edm.fans will think we're boring after we win"
What happened Yeo?

Puritania 11-25-2011 05:33 PM

If that Nugent-Hopkins kid keeps playing this way he might reach Matt Read levels of excellence.

The curse is broken and a new day dawns.

molsonmuscle360 11-25-2011 05:33 PM

HAHA, Gene just got shunned by Gilby

oilphan 11-25-2011 05:33 PM

Fabulous road game against a tough team.

oilersfan11 11-25-2011 05:34 PM

At the rate who would disagree that RNH could be a 100 point player in the future?

Harley 11-25-2011 05:34 PM

That was impressive. These kids are starting to grow up playing hockey all game, all zones, and all with talent.

Our D when healthy isn't going to be half bad. Even with injuries we're hanging in there and the young blue liners are getting lots of chance to grow.

Blue And Orange 11-25-2011 05:34 PM

Man, it felt like an eternity the last time the oilers won in minnesota. Man it feels so rad to be an oilers fan now.

OILFAN #81 11-25-2011 05:35 PM

Our top 2 lines keep playing great.

2 points each for all of Hall, RNH, Eberle, Smyth, and Horcoff.

24 points now for RNH and Smyth, 23 for Eberle, 18 for Hall, 16 for Horcoff.

Great win boys. Let's make it a fantastic weekend with a win tomorrow vs Colorado!

Hunt4Oil 11-25-2011 05:35 PM

No more vcash, bet it all on the Wild and couldn't be happier.

GreatKeith 11-25-2011 05:35 PM

I listened to What is Love as I said I would. We won the game.

Puritania 11-25-2011 05:35 PM

A game so good it spawns two count 'em two PGT's!

loyaloil 11-25-2011 05:35 PM

Finally we beat Minny!!!:handclap:

Horseradish 11-25-2011 05:36 PM

Well we've either lost 6 of 10 or won 3 in 4.

Great effort from what I saw in the last two periods for a big road win and an even bigger 2 point takeaway from the Wild.

I watched the last half of the 3rd on the Wild feed and they mentioned something interesting about Yeo. He doesn't like to match lines that much cuz sometimes he feels it puts him "in difficult situations" whatever that means. Regardless of Minny's hot start though, they don't have the horses for him to not match lines for much of the season and stay competitive. I'd suggest that if he wants to keep an NHL head coaching job this day in age, he'd better start.

Matt Ryan 11-25-2011 05:36 PM

Thoughts on Whitney tonight? 16 min TOI, not much of a splash, but for a defender that's a good thing.

Joseppi 11-25-2011 05:36 PM

Smitty opens the score to break the streak. So fitting, awesome game :yo:
