Tim Thomas in Avalanche training camp in 95

Hey, quick question.
In the Hockey News "Best Everything" magazine.
They state that Tim Thomas was at the Avalanche training camp in 95 and Patrick Roy told him he was playing the wrong way.
But I just want to make sure, Roy was traded in December of 95. So Roy wasn't at the Avs training camp in 95.
Did they mean at the 1996 training camp? Because Thomas was still at Vermont at that time.
If anyone can help that would be great.

I'm just going to be very unhelpful yet very blunt... THN has a history of retardation.

Probably all bull**** anyway, but even if it was somehow true, perhaps Roy was correct. It's not likely a fluke that Thomas couldn't keep a job for another 11 years. He likely changed a lot over the years and found something that worked, AKA flailing around like a maniac. He must have studied the Hasek School of how to control blind luck

I completely agree with that statement.
It would be a nice story, but it's one where you can put two and two together and it doesn't make sense.

Apparently he was in the 97-98 rookie/pro camps for Colorado.
