Controversial OT Goal (Pens-Habs Nov. 26/11)

What are your guys thoughts?

Kane One 11-26-2011 09:58 PM

Details?

Lehner 11-26-2011 09:58 PM

What a horrible call, he had it covered imo..

Letang just goes and pokes it out, wow I'd be pissed too.

Maybe Karma but wow...

shao01 11-26-2011 09:58 PM

Montreal gets robbed in OT by the Ref

Price had the puck frozen for a few second which should have resulted in a face-off but wasn't. A Penguins player take away puck from Price and scores.

Horrible officiating all-around tonight by the referees.

Edit: nvm I see a thread has already been made.

Ashasx 11-26-2011 09:58 PM

Whistle should have been blown 3 seconds before. Brutal.

*Does not like the Habs

The Kremelin Wall* 11-26-2011 09:58 PM

Worst call since that waived off icing at the World Juniors last year. Worse than AHL caliber reffing.

chaosrevolver 11-26-2011 09:58 PM

Im Sure The Ref Can See The Puck Through 4 Bodies And Under A Glove! Absolutely Garbage..

Fabs 11-26-2011 09:58 PM

Hate the Habs and they got screwed. That's good.

khennig16* 11-26-2011 09:58 PM

The ref was on the wrong side of the net, he couldn't see that Price had it covered for a good 3 seconds. IMO play should of been called dead, before Neal was able to push the puck out of Prices glove to Letang.

99GoHabsGo99 11-26-2011 09:58 PM

****ing bs.... he had it covered for a good 5-6 seconds..... not to mention he was interfered with

Jack DiBiase 11-26-2011 09:58 PM

Should have been whistled off. But I'm a biased Habs fan.

Zaide 11-26-2011 09:58 PM

Not everyone is watching the Pens-Habs game, just so you know. What makes me mad is that it's the kind of goal that two or three times in the last year, Montreal had a goal refused because the refs blew the whistle too quickly.

Sebastion 11-26-2011 09:59 PM

I, for one, am against controversial OT goals

Crispy Crust 11-26-2011 09:59 PM

Thought it should've been blown dead. Montreal got screwed hard there.

sEmowashere 11-26-2011 09:59 PM

deserved?

Well there was this goal .... and it was in OT. Apparently it was controversial.

Did you even read the thread title? :sarcasm:

NastyNick 11-26-2011 09:59 PM

The only thing controversial about it was that it had to happen in Overtime. Seriously, the Pens put up 5 on Montreal during regulation. Montreal didn't even sniff that end of the ice for the last half of the game either.

SuburbanRhythm 11-26-2011 09:59 PM

I think I am glad it wasn't Kunitz again...otherwise we are still playing

Risotto 11-26-2011 09:59 PM

even the pens homers Steigerwald and errey thought it was ridiculous the whistle wasn't blown

SRTtoZ 11-26-2011 09:59 PM

haha I was waiting for this...

As a fan of neither team, this is complete ROBBERY on the refs part. Price had the puck covered in his glove and they let Letang just jab at his glove, grab the puck and continue to play. Awful no whistle there.

Caniac4ever 11-26-2011 09:59 PM

No excuse for that kind of missed call in the NHL. Absolutely brutal.

Novak Djokovic 11-26-2011 09:59 PM

No goal, in my opinion BUT as they say, you play 'till the whistle.

(I hope people stray away from conspiracies because if the officials really loved the Penguins, Pacioretty would've (and should've) easily gotten a 5 and a game)

pine* 11-26-2011 09:59 PM

I'm biased but this was a ******** call.

Azumi* 11-26-2011 09:59 PM

Garbage.

As a Leaf fan, all I'll say is:

If that was any of 27 other NHL teams in Montreal tonight, that's blown dead.

Read what you want into that.

LeMAD 11-26-2011 09:59 PM

Puck frozen for a few seconds...no whistle....still no whistle....then a player get the puck from under Price's pad and the Penguins score.
