Bobby Ryan on the Block? Part 3 -- PHI, TOR, NYR, VAN, Etc...

What would it take to get him in Boston?

Im thinking something around Bergeron and 45th Overall

Tombernack 06-25-2010 12:52 PM

That wouldn't do it I'm afraid. Bergeron is a UFA in 12 months.

I'm thinking you're not going to like the answer you get.

Guest123 06-25-2010 12:54 PM

2nd overall and Bergeron.

If you want him, gotta overpay.

BruinsNeedaRussian 06-25-2010 12:55 PM

He is expected to re-sign in Anaheim soon, he won't be moving anytime soon.

Elvs 06-25-2010 12:56 PM

Not enough. While I like what Bergeron brings, he's pretty much a 20-25 goal scorer who can be anywhere between 55-70 points. And his 70 point season came before injuries. He is a good player, but it's not likely that he will put up 40+ goals or 85+ points. And if he does put up 85 points, how often will it happen? The 2nd rounder don't have any value here.

Force951 06-25-2010 12:59 PM

If the ducks trade him we need young good defense coming back. Something the Bruins just don't have.

Brayden Coburn? :handclap:

I like Bobby Ryan, but I don't like him that much.....no thanks

I don't want to get rid of Bergeron. It would have to take someone I really really like and I don't see that happening

Go Bruins Go!

Ryan is a RFA in a Week. what is your point?

I say Offer sheet 5yr 30m (6per) for a 1st, 2nd, 3rd.

Trade or hide Ryder in the minors. Same with Thomas.

Jeff Carter for Bobby Ryan

Ducks might match...

DuckEatinShark 06-25-2010 07:37 PM

Anaheim will ask similar to the Kessel deal (knowing its the 2nd overall) but instead of picks, they want a young #1 Dman +

Pay it forward...

Give Ryan the offer sheet and give up the picks because Boston just added Seguin and the Leafs picks this year and next. Use Boston's to offer sheet Ryan and see if Anaheim matches.

Bobby Ryan on the Block? Part 3 -- Rangers the Frontrunner?

Part II nearing 1000 posts.

Jeez, people, what are you going to do if he ever gets traded?!

Ryan Quotes from the OC Register

Quote:

"I wouldn't be surprised," Ryan told the Register on Tuesday. "That's all I'll say about that."
Quote:

"in a perfect world, you get drafted and you stay with a team for your career and you win (Stanley) Cups," and added that he's not looking to be moved and wants to remain with the team.
"At the same time, it's the business side of things that all comes back to. If they feel like it's got to be the right move for the team, then I'd certainly welcome it.
"If they feel like the Ducks are going to get better and I'm going to get chance to play somewhere else, I guess I would. But I'm certainly not thinking about it day in and day out."

Tony Clifton Leaf 11-30-2011 11:30 AM

I'd be willing to part with anyone on the leafs except for: Phaneuf, Kessel, Schenn, Gardiner, Reimer

I just really hope that we don't trade Schenn, but I can see it happening. Him and Gardiner are a sick pairing.

LeafsandSharksfan 11-30-2011 11:31 AM

I guess someone had to fill the Kaberle void

I'll throw the warning out early: Please have mutual respect when discussing/debating proposals. If you do not like what you are reading move along or utilize the ignore features that HF offers (user/thread).

Thank you. :)

I think Toronto fans think he will be traded to Toronto. That is all.

Have twenty people start a thread at the same time.

I think fans of their respective teams think that they will get Ryan. If a GM sees a player like Ryan is "available" and Anaheim is listening to offers, you're not doing your job right as a GM if you don't inquire about the chance of getting Ryan.

hdtrax 11-30-2011 11:41 AM

I would love Bobby Stevenson in a Leafs jersey :sarcasm:
