Looking at the stats above one thing glares out at me. Earlier in the year we had just a few minus players. Now look...very few plus players. Especially troublesome are Downey's -14 and Brewer (a shut down defenseman) -7. Not that they are the only problems just 2 worth pointing out.

And Pyatt or Shannon in? :shakehead Without DNA line again. Must win tonight.

I didn't think they would ever scratch Hall

I don't think so. Adam Hall is not the component of a deal that you have to worry about keeping healthy.

Boucher also seems to like him a lot, but this scratch is more because someone simply has to sit. Hall is steady, but he's not good enough to escape being a scratch forever when we're trying to regularly play 13 forwards, and some nights using as few as 11.

TBLightning also tweet that Shannon is the one playing tonight.

I can hardly recognize the Rangers. Who are Artem Anisomov, Dereck Stepan, Ryan Calahan, and Michael Dell Zotto?

Maybe someone expressed interest in Shannon and Yzerman is showing him off? That is the only reason outside of an injury I can think of to sit Hall and put Shannon in.

The team isn't winning. That should be reason enough for a lineup change, IMO. Boucher is looking for offense and we all know that's not really Hall's biggest asset.

David Moss is a UFA at season's end, would be an intriguing secondary scoring option on the third line :dunno:

We do desperately need some secondary scoring with Purcell, Connolly and Malone not really producing right now.

Pyatt and Hall have virtually no offensive talent whatsoever. I'm not surprised one of them was scratched.

What I'm surprised at was that Boucher would go with Shannon over someone who could help us on the PK.

Not crazy about hall being scratched...

I'm not sure if that's serious or not, but each of these players played at least last season and the only player that didn't play 2 seasons ago is Derek Stepan.
