NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

The Wings thought they knocked Winnipeg out of the NHL 15 years ago.

Time for the peg to get off the mat and punch them in the face.

TroubaFan1 12-10-2011 02:58 AM

IMO this game is going to show us alot about our team. To play on back to back nights and this time having to go to Detroit. If we can go into the Joe and give them a game I will be very impressed. Go Jets Go!

Holden, add cbc online as a free streaming. As long as you're in Canada of course

Lazyking 12-10-2011 10:22 AM

big test for the Jets. A win is would be huge.

bigplay41* 12-10-2011 10:23 AM

heads up Holden we still have the Carolina logo above the Red Wings lineup haha, secondly there is something about walking up that staircase to get into the Joe Louis Arena that i really like! Jets take this one in OT 4-3

Antropov will be a fresh body for us. I hope everyone else isn't laggy from playing 20 hours ago.

Gump Hasek 12-10-2011 10:54 AM

I'm conflicted; my father is a senior citizen and is a lifelong Wings fan. Oh well...

JustGivingEr 12-10-2011 10:57 AM

Former favourite team vs. current favourite team.
I've been hoping the wings win 81 games this year and today is the one I hope they lose.

It's going to be a tough one. Detroit is a great team and they are always great at home. However, with the way we've been playing I'm convinced we can beat anyone. We just need the same intensity we play with at home.

It would be a HUGE win today if we can pull it out.

Go Jets Go!

sipowicz 12-10-2011 11:08 AM

Bold prediction

With a win in Detroit tonight the Jets are a lock for the play-offs!

200 on the Jets

The Wings are 11-2-1 at home and both teams are hot of late. It all points to a great game. If Antropov gets back in the line-up he could provide that little extra punch for us tonight.

We are a tad bit younger than the Wings as they have 10 players over 30 and the ageless Lidstrom over 40.

We will need to stay out of the penalty box tonight and our chances will be really good to grab a win. If we start the penalty parade we could be in for a long night.

MadMen88 12-10-2011 11:29 AM

the Red Wings have an outstanding bottom six, not to mention top two lines. This will be a big test for our bottom six and I see Pavelec having to make a lot of saves on the PK in order for the Jets to win. It will be nice the colors of Detroit against WPG colors again.

Gump Hasek 12-10-2011 11:38 AM

The Jets flew out to Detroit following the game last night and arrived there in the middle of the night.

This will be a difficult test but not an insurmountable one. As others stated team discipline will be key. Hopefully a fresh Antropov can help and perhaps they'll put Kulda in the lineup instead of Flood.

Puckschmuck* 12-10-2011 11:47 AM

I really doubt we are going to win this one. Having just played last night and a early morning arrival in Detroit to play a red hot Wings squad IN Detroit leads me to believe the boys are in for more than they can handle. I'd think we'd have a better chance playing the Wings at MTS Centre in front of our home crowd.

Having said that, we were pretty much wrote them off against Boston as well. Anything can happen, and I hope to be proven wrong!
