D Pat Aufiero and D Jayme Filipowisz

Both players will attend Providence camp. Just thought I'd let people know.

No room at the inn. Both are done as prospects and the Pack already has much better veterans that can perform the same roles in Nycholat and McMillan.

Yea that is true, at least Aufiero is from Boston and maybe if he plays well in Providence maybe get called up and will thrive. He has just been hurt alot. Since Bruins likes players from the Boston area I wonder if they would like Tom Poti.

So here is my proposal:

Bruins - Tom Poti
Rangers - Martin Lapointe

I think this would be a good deal for both teams.

LaPointe would just be taking a roster spot from a younger 3rd or 4th line player.

If Poti is to be traded I'd want someone no older than Poti with more upside than a Martin LaPointe.

ChrisKreider20 09-25-2004 11:15 AM

if we do trade for Poti it should be for a prospect and/or a pick.

Poti
for
Boyes
4th

or

Poti
2nd
4th

for
Grebeshkov

something like that if we do decide to trade poti. IF WE DID TRADE POTI it should be for a prospect or pick, not a checker.
Chances are we won't trade the guy cuz he's so aweful defensively. We may only get a bag of pucks. So we just gotta hope that he has a great season. Than maybe we can trade him.

Before the deadline, Poti-to-Boston might have made some sense, as the Bruins needed a scoring threat from the blue-line.

Then they got Gonchar. (whom I believe they've qualified).

Now they have no need for Poti.

That being said, I have no clue why any franchise would be dumb enough to trade a 27-year-old All-Star and Olympian Defenseman for a 31-year-old third line forward who makes more money, scores fewer points, and has a much, much, worse +/- on a better team over the last two years.

Go fish.
