who wants to talk some cars?

i couldn't find a thread on cars, so i thought i'd start one.
(if there is, feel free to merge)

who's into cars?
what do you drive?
what's your dream car?

i just bought a 2010 Volvo c30 T5 a month ago, and i am more in love with it now than i was before i bought it

I'll talk about menstrual cycles if it means I don't have to watch another minute of this game.

Mgkibbles 12-17-2011 12:36 PM

The beautiful Ferrari 330 P4 in Forza 4. Epic car.

I drive a Nissan Altima, which is a rather boring car. But if, or when, I have the money I'll purchase an Acura NSX. I've always had a soft spot for the NSX because Ayrton Senna helped develop the chassis.

I have a 2000 Camry. I hate it. If it burst into flames right now I'd dance around the pyre.

toyotas are good cars. i have a feeling it'll be lasting a lot longer for you, you'll probably develop Alzheimer's before it bursts into flames... unless an unfortunate accident were to happen that wasn't intentional by any means :sarcasm:

that saab is nice. but i can't get into the bmw wagons.

bmws are some of the nicest looking cars on the road. especially the body style between 2007-2009.

my other dream car is a black 2007 BMW m3

dookie88 12-17-2011 02:38 PM

The current Audi A6 Avant (I think it's already called 2012) is the most beautiful wagon on the market right now, followed closely by the current BMW 5series touring.

As far as dreamcars go. Porsche 911. Period.

The thing about Porsche, imo, is, that it's certainly not the most flashy one, it's probably not even the most fun, but if you want the perfect package of elegance, class, contemporary design, quality, sportiness and driving pleasure while at least having a bit practicability the 911 is the way to go.

In Germany you don't see Mustang at all, but last summer I saw a '74 when I stayed in Flagstaff. Owner build the engine himself, the thing was sooooo beautiful.

Pimpmobile FTW.

My car is a piece of ****, it's a 2001 CR-V.

This is the car I'd LOVE to have:

1962 Ferrari 250 GTO

the dream. ferrari 330 gto.

On other hockey boards the car thread usually turns into a tunerfest. Though i'm hoping given the multinational and sophisticated nature of this board it doesn't. It's looking good so far, no pics of honda civics with wings, body kits and big mufflers.

I love watching Top Gear, Meecum, and chasing classic cars, oddly so does my wife.

Cars i've owned,

2002 TransAm WS6, fast, simple, poor build quality

Random suv's, pickups (it snows and I do haul things)

Cars I enjoy, 1930's, muscle cars, and exotics.

I eventually want to own a 1935 dodge truck:
http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/...n-pickup-1.jpg

a 1971 hemi cuda:
http://www.flemingsultimategarage.co...950_main_f.jpg
Though that a 6 figure car. There is a shop that puts some body panels on the new challenger that makes it look like the old cuda's

And of course, an E-type Jag

My 2005 Corolla is the hero car right behind the sign spinner and drumkit in this 311 video.

I thought that was cool, especially since I had to the director's car to make a run for expendables, and my Corolla was way nicer than his beater. P-Nut (the bassist for 311) rolled up in a Tesla Roadster, which was freakin' gorgeous. We chatted about cars for a few minutes between takes.

For new cars, I love the Maserati Grancabrio Sport.

http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog....ive-14-opt.jpg

For classic cars, Talbot-Lago can't be beat for elegant styling. Saw this beaut in person at Heritage Classics on Santa Monica Blvd. out here (border of West Hollywood and Beverly Hills).

And for sentimental value, I would love to someday get my dad a blue '63 Chevy Nova, since that was his first car.

I spent two years in AZ before deciding to buy a car. This is what I bought: 1974 Dodge Dart SE. Waiting on a windshield (any day now!) and then she is good to go.

When I am back in NJ, here is my ride. 1987 Monte Carlo SS. From the salvage yard, she has some giddy up. Very popular among the Trenton residents during my time in college.

I love me some cars, don't really have any dream ones. I've been lucky enough to have some good rides. I wouldn't mind an old Chevy truck though...

Another dream of mine...

http://www.chooseyouritem.com/classi...100.Pickup.jpg

'53 ford f100. No lame "street mods" no hotrod ********. Just an as original as can be truck, with the wood guards around the bed.

I currently drive a 2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R. I drive it mostly in winter and during the summer I ride my Yamaha FZ6. My dream car would be the Lamborghini Reventon.
