COACH & PLAYER QUOTES

We had our opportunities, and we ended up getting to a shootout and the shootout is what it is. We won the last couple in a shootout but, again, it is what it is. Quicker makes a couple big saves and our shooters couldn’t find a way to get one by their goalie. Every time we play the Sharks, it’s a pretty competitive game. They always have four on the rush, so they get a lot of those rush chances. I thought we did a really good job of cycling the puck and grinding. We’ve got to continue to get around the net though. I think Niemi saw too many pucks tonight. We’ve got to get there more consistently."

But you have to find that little edge somehow, with different players, and I’m not so sure that’s done on the ice. I think a lot of that is done off the ice, to be quite honest. The schedule is what the schedule is. For everybody, especially out West here, practice time is limited and a lot of it is more (about) recovery. You look at our schedule in January, and it’s pretty fortunate. I think we have three sets where we have two days between games. Then you go to February and it’s crazy. So you’ve got to look at the big picture, too. As important as tonight is, you’ve always got to be thinking ahead. It also tells you the importance of having a lot of depth, which is important."

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

Huge, huge game. Time to score some goals! Or just grind out a 2-1 win, whatever gives us the two points.

kings win in glorious fashion

It's great to be home after 2 weeks. I was shocked (and not) when I was able to check the news/boards on my trip when we got to our first port (was on a two week cruise), to see the Kings losing like mad and Murray fired! At least one thing happened that made me happy! I can't wait to watch the "new" Kings tonight, as it will be my first Sutter coached game.

GO KINGS!

I made a proclamation that if the Kings fired Murray between the Dallas game and the Boston game that I would use a Murray avatar the rest of the season. Can't go against my own word. ;)

It's one of the many complex sides of TM! I've never seen that face before. Is it pensive? Is it shocked? Is it mischievous? We'll never know.

Wildturkey12 12-26-2011 07:48 PM

Did they make the roster move yet to make room for Richards or do they have a few more days?

Edit *Nevermind just saw that they have until tomorrow.

KingsKnight 12-26-2011 08:07 PM

Please please please can at least one player come out of their scoring slump? I keep feeling like the scoring floodgates are about to open for the team...

Go Kings!

damacles1156 12-26-2011 08:11 PM

If they can't get three passed LOLbarbra, then I just don't know what to say

I predict a 4-2 game, which team will have the four goals (who knows).

Vamos Rafa 12-26-2011 08:44 PM

Anyone else prefer 7:00 games over 7:30? I hope the Kings go permanent with this game time.

For those that missed earlier, Kings could be 1st team in NHL’s modern era (1943–44) to score 2 or fewer goals in 15 consecutive games 2nite

Holy crap ...

Lets see...starting goalie hurt, backup goalie landed us Drew Doughty in his time here, one of their best centers is questionable. Yeah, we should lose this one 6-1.

Ziggy Stardust 12-26-2011 09:10 PM

If the Kings can't get three goals past LaBarbera, then someone better slap these *****es across their faces.
