Chara who will take him down?

Who will take down Chara?????? first in a scrap, I think it will be someone whose accustomed to scrapping or not like a modern day Rocky, long reach to reach his height.

Seriously who will be the first to take down the giant?

Its like the jedi vs the dark side, the nhl needs a luke skywalker to take down the almighty darth vader.

He's so big, the only guys that can trade with him would be a heavy weight enforcer and #1 there aren't many guys like that and #2 those guys are 4th liners so Chara won't go with them.

As has been speculated in its own thread, I think John Scott would out muscle Chara but I don't ever see that fight happening.

Phil Parent 12-27-2011 12:20 PM

Emelin, when he hits him in the knees. Or likewise, somebody else who is not that tall hitting him low with a hip-check. It's bound to happen, someday.

But Chara is quite the physical specimen, it will be big news if somebody beats him in a fight or hurts him with a big hit.

Whats with all the Chara threads as of late. I vote to have 1 stickied thread about Chara lol. ;)

Jason Blake will be the 1 to take him down.

Round of the townspeople, I'll get the pitchforks!

Chara isnt the greatest fighter. At all really. He is just so god damn big and strong that he basically ragdolls anyone around as much as he can and that gives him a huge advantage. He has been beaten before and he will be beaten again though.

Rob 12-27-2011 11:45 PM

Tootoo will pants him!

Thepainter 12-28-2011 03:49 PM

Chara will never fight anybody like Scott who he knows would.hurt.him

Therick67 12-28-2011 04:06 PM

I don't want Chara fighting some clown like Scott. Chara plays more in one night then Scott does in a week, if he's not a healthy scratch that is.

This is just silly. First, there's an unhealthy obsession with Chara on the fight board. The guys beatable, has been beaten before, and will be beaten again. He's still one of, if not the most feared players in the league simply because he's impossible to play against AND can stand with any player out there. He's fought guys like Worrel, Parker, Laraque, Brashear, Simon and the like and has fared well. I don't think there is anyone out there he "wouldn't" fight because of some fear he'd be hurt. There are a plethora of reasons he and Scott haven't fought, chief among them being how little the two actually see of each other, but I doubt that Chara would refuse to drop them with anyone.

The real question is: who could beat Chara in a game of basketball?

Ubi Sunt 12-28-2011 05:49 PM

Lessard dropped him.

The only way Chara ever fights Scott on the ice would be a retaliation against something that clown did; at that point I'll take the guy with the reason and anger any day. Scott is one tough dude but can't play hockey and second hand or not the reports is he's not a good guy either- real low life which is suprising with all the stories about how hockey enforcers are great guys off the ice.

I don't really understand the obsession with "Who will take down Chara?" that is on this site.

Chara is one of the 10 best players in the game and he doesn't fight often, nor does he need to.

And why is Chara..."the dark side"? He is a clean player and he just plays the game. The bigger issue I would have is with a guy like Pronger who pulled dirty crap all the time and hardly ever fought

Fought Shelley like a week ago. Nice try.

tede 12-29-2011 08:35 PM

Chara isn't a great fighter, he's just an average fighter who is big. Not many guys could kick his ass in a fight, it's too hard to get around that reach. But I wouldn't think many talented heavy weights fear him. I might be wrong.

voyageur 12-29-2011 08:35 PM

Give me a monkey wrench and I'll take him down!...It's been sometime since a Bruins player has attacked a fan, lol. Milbury has since moved on to 12 year olds.

FYI, just jokes.

I hate Chara as a player, but he is a solid individual.

karnige 12-29-2011 08:57 PM

chara can't stay on his skates long enough to trade punches with a real fighter.

Scott is usually the one retaliating against hits on the Hawks - I don't remember him starting a lot of stuff. His most memorable moments of enforcing during his time with the Hawks were instigating fights in response to a Staubitz late hit on Campbell after an icing and fighting Engelland after he injured Kruger. He doesn't take a lot of penalties. Everything we've heard about him in Chicago contradicts the idea that he's a real low life, although I don't have my ear to the ground when it comes to gossip.
