Tim Connolly, seen here in a rare non-injured moment, must be thanking his lucky stars. With the rash of injuries in the NHL, let alone to his own team, he somehow remains uninjured for consecutive on-ice minutes. Sabres fans are impressed to say the least.

I'm not happy to hear that no one is coming back from injury for this one, but at least Dineen said that Weiss is close to a return. Toronto is almost as banged up as we are, so it should be an interesting match of saying 'Who?' when certain opposing players have the puck. Everyone on the ice is going to need to step up their game bigtime so we can avoid another performance like we had last Friday. At least one positive is that we have a pretty good record against the Leafs over the last few seasons.

gizmo12688 12-27-2011 12:28 PM

Missing this game, but hopefully we can pull out the much needed 2 points.

gizmo12688 12-27-2011 12:30 PM

Also I'd like to see Flash have a big game tonight.

adam graves 12-27-2011 02:04 PM

Dineen admitted that the Panthers were 0-4 when he used seven defensemen after all the rash of injuries, and that’s why he moved Erik Gudbranson to wing last Friday....QUOTE FROM FLAKOV.

Lausy and I have been saying it and good to see coach giving up on it.

AwesomePanthers 12-27-2011 02:14 PM

It looks like Toronto has just as many injuries as us, but it's on Mike Brown, Komisarek, Depuis and Armstrong..

CatscratchFever 12-27-2011 02:26 PM

Hard to get up for a game when half the team is injured. I can't foresee points tonight or in the near future. It's a shame really, after a fantastic start. I'm positive the haters are giddy with excitement over our eventual slide, "but every team in the NHL is suffering from injuries!" not like ours, not like ours.....For the love of God, Go Panthers!

AaronEkbald 12-27-2011 02:44 PM

Toronto's injuries are manageable. They aren't missing their top 2 centers and their entire 2nd-line. Their worst injury is liles, that's it.

I don't care what anybody says, we have the worst injuries in the nhl right now.

Frek 12-27-2011 02:45 PM

At the very least the leafs have a few guys hurt as well. Let's find a way tonight to get a point or steal 2.

Hope they get healthy before Friday, I'm going to the Rangers game.

Jeff Shafer 12-27-2011 03:18 PM

I was debating going tonight, but I didn't want to pay full price to see half the San Antonio roster play. I hope by the Montreal game we get some guys back.

GernBlanston 12-27-2011 03:21 PM

Hopefully the injuries clear up soon, and we play strong through them... but I'm sensing a bit of a crash. Not a long term one, but I think the next week or two are going to be pretty tough. I would love to be proven wrong, and I'll be cheering just as loudly as ever. Let's go Cats!

And I agree with Lassie - I think the Panthers are hardest hit by injuries at the moment. Other teams are dealing with major injuries, for sure... but 7 impact players, including two top centers? Yah... I think we're winning. Winning?

Good news you guys have about 5 guys who played vs the Marlies in November with Kennedy, Repik, Cullen, Dadynov, & Clem (Thomas was a scratch) Bad news they only saw Frattin & Boyce.

Seriously though, good luck to you guys. Can't wait til the Panthers are healthy not only for selfish AHL reasons, but also it is amazing how invested one can be in the whole system after just some months. I'm a Pens fan and I'm almost over my dislike of rats ;)

Made it back in time from my reno's to watch the game. Just picked up a 60" LCD TV yesterday @ boxing day sales. After I get the living room painted tomorrow, next job will be to hook up and mount the TV. Sat. the 3-piece couch set gets delivered.

Reno's might stop come that point, as its all I need.

Nice. :yo: I'm planning on getting a new TV in a few days, I've been looking at this 40" LED since I got my PS3 a few weeks ago. My first game (NHL 12 of course) and some other stuff arrive propably by thursday. :thumbu:

AaronEkbald 12-27-2011 06:31 PM

I don't buy this "our callups need to step up and play well to earn a spot" nonsense. We just got troused by the b's 8-0 and we're putting out the same lineup against an offensive leafs team. No one should be surprised or upset if we get outworked, outhit and outplayed.

Kessel and Lupul are going to dominate us.
