Nothing about the value of the contract but good length nonetheless.

Whatever the # is, it's a good one. I would be shocked if this guy doesn't captain the team sometime very soon.

hickles46 01-01-2012 04:04 PM

Love this

JGRB 01-01-2012 04:05 PM

Good.

But before we get too positive let's see the cap-hit.

I'm hoping for 3.5-3.75 tops.

:handclap: :handclap:

OMG I can't believe they actually signed someone during the season!!!!!
Happy new year Josh!!!!! About time we get good news,

sheed36 01-01-2012 04:05 PM

And to believe some people thought he wouldn't want to resign. I laugh at you.

Here's to 6 more years of Josh Gorges, future captain

YMCMBeaulieu 01-01-2012 04:06 PM

I don't give a **** how much he signs for, the guy deserves every dollar he gets.

noiro 01-01-2012 04:06 PM

Yes!!!:handclap:

Too bad he never captained a team :(

Tusk 01-01-2012 04:07 PM

I am happy he's remaining a Hab, next captain for sure now.

Hackett 01-01-2012 04:07 PM

pretty bold move.

Have the habs ever given anyone 6 years?

Frank Doby 01-01-2012 04:08 PM

Probably the best move from Gauthier until his departure.

Didn't Pleks re-sign for 6 years?

Plekanec i think

That said i love Gorges so i'm happy that he will stay with the Habs for a while. I just hope that PG didn't overpay. I like the guy but anything over 4m would be too much. Something around 3.5m would be perfect.

It's only logical, IMO.

Been our best defenseman in our own end for the better part of 3-4 seasons now, and he's done very well this season especially.
