:canes 14-21-7= 35 PTS VS. :nashville 21-15-4= 46 PTS

Just win.

TMI 01-07-2012 01:56 PM

I was wondering where the GDT was

It's going to be hard for me to get up for this one after this Canucks v Bruins game. I have a couple of casual fan friends going so I hope we can win this one.

preds1 01-07-2012 03:09 PM

See ya there.

BADofSmashville 01-07-2012 03:28 PM

Anybody have a link yet where I can watch it?

Colin Wilson will return to the lineup tonight and Brian McGrattan will be scratched according to reports from the morning skate. Therefore, my question to everyone is...where do you fit Wilson back into the lineup and who drops out of the top 9?

With Bourque replacing Wilson on that Spaling-Tootoo line they haven't missed a beat. However, the top-6 has struggled to create offense outside of Kostitsyn's hat trick last Saturday. IMO, I'd look to insert Wilson back in the lineup in Craig Smith's place and drop Smith all the way down to the fourth line tonight...

Kostitsyn - Fisher - Hornqvist
Wilson - Legwand - Erat
Bourque - Spaling - Tootoo
Halischuk - Smithson - Smith

Hopefully Wilson creates offense to get the top-6 going again and the move sends a message to Smith to simplify his game and regain that shoot first mentality that he entered the season with. Smith is still 3rd in rookie scoring this season, but he's gotta get back on that horse and find some consistency to stay up there...

NoNecksCurse 01-07-2012 03:49 PM

sorry but the sk-fisher-hornqvist has sucked long enough... they need to be broke apart.

wilson legwand erat
smith spaling tootoo
sk fisher halischuk
bourque smithson hornqvist

preds1 01-07-2012 03:49 PM

Wilson - Legwand - Erat
Kostitsyn - Fisher - Smith
Bourque - Spaling - Tootoo
Halischuk - Smithson - Hornqvist

Horny to the 4th with Smitty and Hals. (as an aside, I think I've gotten to the point I'd almost rather skate McG than Smitty. I know he wins face-offs but I don't wanna' see him on the ice with Leggy and Erat when we need to score goals and he won't do that with McG)

Bourque with Toots and Spaling - THAT is an energy line.
Fish between SK and Smith
Leggy between Marty and Wilson

TV coverage

Is this one on TV? Printed schedules and Preds website list it as radio only. My Direct TV guide says it's scheduled to air.

TootooTrain 01-07-2012 04:43 PM

Lets go! This should be an easy 2 points. *knock on wood*

I see Horns getting demoted before Smith does. Wilson and Erat should stay together with Smith and SK being the other two top6 wingers.

Wilson - Legwand - Erat
SK - Fisher - Smith
Tootoo - Spaling - Horns
Bourque - Smithson - Halischuck

Paranoid Android 01-07-2012 04:49 PM

I agree with Smith needing to be demoted. He looks completely different out there compared to his first few months. He needs to get his game back because right now he's just bogging down what little offense is left in our top 6

Sibling rivalry game for me and my sister (she lives near Raleigh and follows the Canes). Would like to continue the streak which sits at 3 right now.

Prederator 01-07-2012 05:34 PM

Does anyone know if Ellis is in tonight, and if so, who the scratch is?

Canes beat the Sabres last night. This is no gimme. Play aggressive!

Go Preds!!!!

TMI 01-07-2012 06:30 PM

Peters in nets for the Canes. In his one game this season he had some very odd stats. A good SV% at .923, but a terrible GAA at 4.14

Fortheloveofthegame 01-07-2012 06:34 PM

Wilson back in? Anyone know what his injury was?

TMI 01-07-2012 06:45 PM

Wilson is back in, and I have no idea.

TMI 01-07-2012 07:00 PM

Oh come on... so FSN Carolina was coming in for me during the pre-game, and then went out right at 7pm. What the hell?

Atlanta broadcasts both Preds and Canes games, yet this game is not on. Awesome.
