Brule shiuld get picked up. Ive followed his career and he just needs the right situation. Put him at 4th line winger till he gets his confidence back.

Would look good on the Canucks

Lots of speculation that brule as been claimmed

allrevvedup25 01-10-2012 06:24 AM

Seen a tiny error above - It says Dec. 30: DAL: Sean Avery and it should be NYR. Great work with this thread caley!!:handclap:

by who?

Markus078 01-10-2012 08:45 AM

hope my Ducks pick him up. Could help there. Need some hardworking gritty players. Always liked Brule and never understood what happened to him.

Don't know about that...but with all the injuries to the Pens I wouldn't mind if Shero snatched him up at that cheap price and without having to commit to a contract.

Exactly. Would be a decent fit with all the injuries. He has potential and is still relatively young. He would come in cheap and it could turn out to have a nice reward. Brule has skill, I think he just needs the right fit, Pittsburgh could be it.

Chainshot 01-10-2012 10:05 AM

Buffalo could use Brule and send Adam back to the Amerks to get his game in order. Paying them the same amount, I'd rather have the kid getting time in the AHL and the slightly older player in the 4th line role. I doubt it happens, but it would be what I would do.

My thoughts exactly and if he doesn't work out? Not like we wasted anything to pick him up anyway.

Guess we'll have to wait and see how Shero responds

squidz* 01-10-2012 10:46 AM

At half price, this late in the season, as an impending RFA, I don't see why Brule would make it through re-entry waivers. Might be a good pickup for a team that's planning on selling off at the deadline as he's a warm body. Outside of the $500k in real dollars out of the team's wallet, he's as close to a risk-free pickup as possible.

Brule to Phoenix.

caley 01-10-2012 11:12 AM

Brule claimed by Phoenix according to Renaud Lavoie.

joestevens29 01-10-2012 11:14 AM

Good claim for PHO.

caley 01-10-2012 11:16 AM

Everyone else (Fraser, Dupont, Tim Sestito) clear

squidz* 01-10-2012 11:16 AM

Any word on any other teams putting in claims?

Gags89 01-10-2012 11:16 AM

I think he'll do well in Phoenix. Good luck Brule!

Damn. Was hoping Shero would snag him. Solid pick up by Phoenix.

Shine on you crazy diamond. Got a feeling he's going to do well in Phoenix.

All the best of luck to him!

He may have put a claim in for him, but Phoenix would have priority by having one less point in the standings.

Unsurprising that a half-priced Brule would be claimed.

Kagee* 01-10-2012 04:33 PM

nice pickup by the Yotes.

Dunno what other teams did, but we can figure out what other teams with higher waiver priority didn't.

damicius 01-10-2012 05:23 PM

Brule

So now Brule will be center for Torres? Some time ago he was traded for him.

FrozenFloor 01-10-2012 06:30 PM

Solid addition for the Yotes, nothing but up-side.
